why dont tora cater more for pc users
as my title says...
surely iracing is not the only game/sim racer pc users are going to get on tora.????
the pc gaming community is probably the largest out of all gaming community's and tora are just ignoring it...
every game/sim racer on console is available for pc and not only that but look at all the other stuff that can be done on a pc.
there is so many missed opportunity's for tora to broaden there horizons and become one of the largest online sim racing community's (believe me they are not at this point in time)
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((this is only my opinion and i am in no way starting a verbal war this is one mans opinion that is all....))))))))))))))))))

Re: why dont tora cater more for pc users
When we test the waters for other titles, especially on PC, the numbers are generally small.
The more different titles we do, the more fragmented the community becomes.
Two solid reasons.

you cant learn to swim if you only dip your toe so testing the water is not realy a solid reason imoFlyin Mikey J wrote:When we test the waters for other titles, especially on PC, the numbers are generally small.

And as for running diffrent titles your not your running diffrent platforms...
So basicly thats saying if your not a console user or just have iracing tora dont want to know you...????

There's another option for you:
We have just so many available days, time slots, and Staff members to oversee things. However, there is the TORA Community Events section. Feel free to set something up there.

Re: why dont tora cater more for pc users
This has come up a lot and it's the same story every time.
The point is this: TORA was founded almost 10 years ago on Xbox 360, specifically Forza.
As time went on and TORA grew, it kept the same fundamental people and attracted similar-minded racers on Xbox/Forza, throughout the Forza series. Then we have 1000s of Xbox/Forza players.
The Xbox One launch shook things up a little, as some went to PS4 instead or were put off completely by the disappointing FM5 launch. Yet 3 years on we are still solidly a Xbox/Forza group and everyone who races here has an Xbox One and Forza 6.
So when we try something new, be it on PC or on another Xbox game, numbers are low. Why? Because few people in our massive Xbox/Forza group have a gaming PC, or have that other Xbox game; they all have Xbox One and Forza.
Also, actually hosting and running a series on another game or on PC is difficult because, as a Xbox/Forza community, we lack hosts who have said game or a gaming PC, etc. A decent gaming PC rig, perhaps with a server, is expensive so a small percentage of people have them.
The current iRacing series, ran by the only Staff member with iRacing, is hopefully the start of a PC side to TORA, but numbers of entrants are currently lower than our Forza series.
The PC racing side of things is definitely not being ignored... but it's like wanting to go to war on the other side of the world but you don't have any planes or boats to get there, and only a handful of your soldiers have any fighting experience anyway. Or maybe it's like a motorcycle manufacturer wanting to get into the far bigger car market.

Re: why dont tora cater more for pc users
Jonno, there's also the option of finding a Euro-timeslot league that's on iRacing but doesn't have the resources of having a site, and sending them this way. It'll grow both the iRacing/PC side, as well as growing the number of people that are aware of what Tora is and does.
