Re: TORA TEC Nürburgring 24H - Qualifying
I know that it will not be done by Q results after the first 2 stints so you guys should be ok on that front. As for a Q5, I will ask around and see if it can be done. If not then I'm afraid you'll have to start from where you currently are.
Re: TORA TEC Nürburgring 24H - Qualifying
Ok thx. In silverstone was the starting order from the Q so I was worried

Re: TORA TEC Nürburgring 24H - Qualifying
Yeah, a lot of people didn't like it so we're changing it and making an effort to keep it changing by going off the stint before last's results. i.e. stints 1&2 will start from Q results but stint 3 will start from stint 1 results and stint 4 from stint 2...
Re: TORA TEC Nürburgring 24H - Qualifying
It's only one lobby, so we should be able to get a stint's results done in time to start the next stint by the standings according to live timing. I agree that starting every stint based on qualifying sucks, so I'm sure it will be avoided if possible.

This is already in place but there will be a single stint delay for the results. You can't always rely on the information being input within 15 minutes because...well yeah, it's been tried before and these things never end on time. Stint delay is fine and grid will adjust accordingly. This is all to my knowledge anyway.

I'd like that to be the case but when we have cases where hosts may be doing back to back stints, it'll be easier to have the grid be set that way, so S1 and S2 are based on qualifying, then S3 based on S1 results, and so forth.
Allows for a bit of wiggle room in case the doc goes askew, a host isn't available, a drive doesn't submit his results in a timely fashion, and most importantly, a future stint isn't delayed by someone trying to enter results.

I think the time is wrong for F4H Blacksheep. I ran a 9:00.1 and my team mate ran 9:05.xxx so 18minutes and 21 seconds doing add up correctly.

Re: TORA TEC Nürburgring 24H - Qualifying
It will be in the "Race Control" Thread, which should be going up some time today or tonight. That will display the Live Timing sheet which will show standings as they run.
The grid for each stint will be given by the host before starting into the race.

Dean, it's in there, I added it in.
The doc is fine, it's where there is no data that things become screwed up.

Re: TORA TEC Nürburgring 24H - Qualifying
If people put the data in the correct places, it should be fine. Given that there's only one lobby, there shouldn't be any missing data, and whoever is taking down distances should be putting data in the doc as the participants read it out. If that actually happened, there'd be ZERO delay since the doc would be up to date as soon as the lobby closed. I don't see why it gets so complicated when it literally takes a minute or two to enter the data.

We'll do what we can... In theory results should be updated immediately... We'll shoot for it, and see what happens.
