77eme 24 Heures du Mans
C'est formidable!
C'est arrive! The 2009 edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours is almost here, zut alors!
The eyes of the motorsport world will descend on the Circuit de la Sarthe on the 13th and 14th on June for THE most important motorsport event of the year. It is the proving ground for new technology and innovation, as the worlds prestigeous manufacturers develop the ultimate machine, designed with speed and endurance in mind. Not only does it test machine, it tests man. Each driver will experience momentous events throughout the race, tackling one of the worlds most fabled racing circuits. Dunlop, Esses, Tetre Rouge, Mulsanne, Indianapolis, Arnarge, Porsche Curves, Maison Blanche, Ford Chicane. Many have failed, only few have triumphed.
Official Entry List - http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/pages/engages_gb.html
Live Stream - http://www.justin.tv/simsporttv
So, Audi have their new R15, which has already triumphed against the Peugeot at the fantastic Sebring race. Kolles Racing will also be running two Audi R10's (Audi back up?). Peugeot will once again be present with both Peugeot Sport and PESCAROLO! Pesca will be fielding one Peugeot 908 along side its own Courage derived car.
So, whos gonna stay up the longest
vivelefrance!

What, theres only one Aston in GT1 this year - that sucks! Quite excited to see how the GT2 Aston V8 will do. I think theres more ferraris than last year too.
Still cant wait. shame i got rid of sky, could have watched it all on Motors like last year!

The Boss bins that beutiful Aston
And General Try telling that while in the Czech Republic! I went into a shop while I was there, the guy looked at me angrily, simply because I had not said 'Dobri Den' - Good Day.

Re: 77eme 24 Heures du Mans
That is impressive for a Dutchman, they usualy get hit from behind by other road users while having a smoke and a pancake. And here the boss has done it on his own

Re: 77eme 24 Heures du Mans
Ah yes, LMP1 evo. Didn't they already try to do that back in the late nineties? Porsche GT1, Nissan R390, Mercedes CLK-GTR?

Re: 77eme 24 Heures du Mans
It was definetaly a Corvette, I remember ACO released a CGI image of the Vette with full Corvette Racing livery. The idea at the time was to make LMP1 cars more like road cars, with similar bodywork, decals and a glass window at the engine area. Basicaly GT1 exreme. That Audi photochop in AJ's Audi R20 thread was a reaction to these rules too and I remember seeing an LMP1 Evo version of that car.

What?! I love the Oreca! Seems very french
The Pesca-Pug looks ok, I do think that the Pesca car thats derived from the Courage looks wonderful however. ALthough the best looking car has to be the Dome. The Peugeot is ugly as far as Coupe's go.

Re: 77eme 24 Heures du Mans
as far as diesels go, we have..
two Audi R10's run by Kolles, one of the Pesca's is a Peugeot 908, and ofcourse we have the works pugs and audis at the front. I really would love to see Pescarolo do well, they came close in the mid-naughties a few times before peugeot arrived on the scene.
