HCR Grizzly wrote:Me and my partner haven't signed up yet; planning on it but I do have a question that I can't seem to find the answer in the rules. It says 8 British time, which is like 2:00 or 3:00 for us here, now with our work schedules (working nights) it is easier for us to run that; but I see there is a US thread and a UK thread. Are we able to race in the UK thread even though we are in the US? Just wanted some clarity, thanks!
In short: Yes you can.
There's Americans that race in the UK, and Brits that race in the US, and sme (myself included) that race both.

A friendly reminder to those yet to sign IN.
We're using the automated sign in system for this series, and if you fail to post an In, you will be an Out.

Re: Sport Tire Challenge Series Discussion
Hey guys, I wanted to make a statement on an SI that was filed on me for the Euro series round 1 B lobby. I screwed up the start being on the wrong side, but I thought some one had said odds right, evens left. Apparently, I had that backwards. Anyway, I think that could have been solved by someone saying "Chief, you need to be left" rather than going to the stewards. I know it was my responsibility to be in the correct spot, so I'll take the penalty and move on, but let's please help each other out when you see someone screwing stuff up like that instead of running to the stewards. There's no rule that says you have to speak up when you see someone making a procedure mistake, and I'm not saying there should be, but a little "Gentlemen's agreement" like that would be awesome in my opinion.

Re: Sport Tire Challenge Series Discussion
That is true Chief, and from what I heard people did say for you to move over but apparently you missed it.
Re: Sport Tire Challenge Series Discussion
Yeah, I don't know. I definitely didn't hear anyone say anything or I would have moved. Doesn't matter. What happened happened, but it won't happen again. On to Watkins...

Mistakes happen. You learn from them and move on. At least I try to.

just seen live sign in times - there is one for EU and one for US - so is each event run at different times??
is the races dependent of where you are within the world??

I imagine they will post results soon. There were apparently a lot of steward's inquiries made for round 1, so they're probably waiting on those to be resolved before they post official results.

Sort of. It's set up so there are 2 series, one with more convenient times for people in the EU, and one more convenient for those in the US. You can enter either or both regardless of where you live though.

Re: Sport Tire Challenge Series Discussion
It's 8pm UK or 8pm Eastern US.
Take your pick
And as has been alluded to, there are SIs still outstanding, and a few have been settled. And I managed to put one in the wrong region, but nobody's perfect

Re: Sport Tire Challenge Series Discussion
Let me clarify this...
Race time is set for 8PM BST for the UK rounds and 9PM EDT for the US rounds.
Except when there is a conflict between a UK round and TEC Qualifying, then the UK round is set for 9PM BST.
