"2018 IFCA Runoff's" March 9th-11th
We are happy to announce we have organized a mimic of the SCCA Runoffs this year. The SCCA has 28 classes of cars, but The IFCA will only have 21. The most recent SCCA Runoffs were held at the Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit and we shall do the same. It will be a 3 day event, Fri-Sun March 9th-11th.
You will be allowed to join up to 3 classes each day, however, different car classes will be combined into pairs to help fill grids, with the same start times. So if there are 6 classes that day and you want to race 3 times, you will have to select 3 different designated start times. Obviously, you can't be in two cars at the same time. Start times will be separated by 2 hour intervals.
Each class will have a minimum 6 driver requirement to be scheduled. A first come first serve method for signing up means the first 6 drivers to join a class will not have to qualify to gain a spot on the grid. Everyone else will have to qualify just to get in. They will have to come to within 2% of what is considered a pre-determined competitive lap time in each class. You'll get 5 laps to qualify. So early bird gets the worm! Be one of the first 6 to sign up this Friday and you're locked in!
At 26 laps per race and 2 pit stops, there will be no need to qualify for the race itself. It will be sufficiently long enough (about 45min) to use a P.I. based semi-random standing start grid order.
To avoid having to qualify for your favorite class be one of the first 6 to signup here or at the IFCA this Friday when sign-ups are officially open.
http://ifca.highforum.net/t6509-2018-ifca-runoff-s-sign-up-jan-26th
Each of the 100 cars available has a specific build sheet for equal performance, which can be seen here http://ifca.highforum.net/t6507-2018-ifca-runoffs-build-sheets
Or you can download the build and tune by simply searching "IFCA"
If you are not one of the first 6 to signup for a certain class, there will only be 6 additional openings available in each class via qualifying. The 6 fastest qualifiers will grab the remaining positions. Those who must qualify to get in must be at least as fast as the posted minimum qualifying lap time. The reason for this is because each lobby will have a maximum 24 drivers split into 2 classes of 12 each. You'll need at least 6 drivers per class for the race to happen. *But the first 6 to sign up when the signups are open this Friday don't have to qualify in.
It benefits those who signup first to recruit others to signup so that their race will take place. Remember you only need 6 drivers for the race to be official. Keep in mind that in order to win the 2018 IFCA Runoff's you must accumulate the most podium points. 1st place is worth 3points, 2nd is worth 2points, and 3rd is worth 1point. You are allowed to signup for 3 races per day during the 3 day event. That's 9 races total, or a chance to win a maximum of 27 podium points. If there is a tie, your calculated IFCA rating will break the tie.
