Welcome to the start of TORA TCF TASCAR Season 7!

Note: Racing at Ovals, especially at Daytona, can be chaotic. I advise everyone to please be aware of the cars around them when changing direction as one slight tap could take out half the field. To alleviate some of the cautions, we will be using the American Iron style start procedure, with drivers only allowed to start racing when their individual row of the grid reaches the start/finish line.

Secondly, please refrain from saying "Caution" unless there are 2 or more confirmed drivers involved in a wreck. If you were not involved, do not call a caution.

Finally, when a Caution is called, the pits will be immediately closed. Do not enter pit-road until the pits are declared open by the lobby host. This will be when the field is back together again under the caution.

PLEASE READ THE RULES AND REGULATIONS BEFORE THE START OF THE SEASON. I WILL NOT BE HAPPY IF I HAVE TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING ON RACE NIGHT!

As is tradition in both TORA TCF TASCAR and the real series, the first round at Daytona features a unique qualifying format. On Sunday, February 4th at 9PM UK / 4PM EST, The Duels at Daytona will take place. This event will set the grid for round one, the Daytona 300 which takes place the following weekend on Saturday, February 10th at 9PM UK / 4PM EST. Please remember, there will be a 10% power handicap enforced for this event.

The Duels at Daytona will comprise of two stages. Stage 1 will be held in the Day, Stage 2 will be held at night.

Stage 1:
- 2 flying laps to get your best lap in. Qualifying lobby will be set to 4 laps, for an Out lap and an In-lap. Once on your 4th lap, please, ALL DRIVERS, stop on the back straight, so lobby hosts can record your times. P1 and P2 times are locked in to their start positions.

Stage 2:
- 2x 30 lap sprint races to determine the Left and Right side of the grid. positions 3, 5, 7, etc will race in one race, while positions 4, 6, 8, etc will race in the other.

Cautions can be called if 2 or more drivers are involved in a collision. Pace car speed for cautions and restarts is 80mph

Sunday's qualifying event will now consist of a thirty minute timed session. Cars will be ghosted and the field will be set by the results of this session alone. For full reasoning of the qualifying format change, please visit the following link:

With the grid set by the Duels at Daytona the previous weekend, then it's time for the first round of the championship!

The race will take place on Saturday, February 10th at 9PM UK / 4PM EST. The race will comprise of 120 laps plus one additional formation lap at the start of the race.

Pace speed will be 80 mph. Cautions may be called due to incidents involving two or more cars. Once the caution is out, the pits will be closed to all competitors. Once the field is grouped up together again, the lobby host will dictate which caution lap will be the one where drivers wishing to pit may do so. After these pit-stops have taken place, the lobby host will allow the first car a lap down to regain his lap.

I won't be able to race this sunday, however, I would like to race next saturday. Given my current situation, sundays are unavailable for me. Is this possible? Have I to sign in for the event before this race, or do I sign in next week before the "real" race. So can I skip qualy, and enter in the lowest lobby?

No, grid will be random and the first lap will be slower for all, second lap will be much faster than the first for everyone equally, no matter where they started from

As always, I will give reminders of pit rules, caution rules, restart/start rules and the crucial stuff, but I would like everyone to have read the rules before too.

As a refresher: the initial race start will be two wide. The field will go row-by-row when they reach the start/finish line. All restarts after that will be single file, row-by-row. Pace car speed is 80mph.

Cautions may be called for incidents of 2 cars or more. The pits are immediately closed when a caution is called. Once the field is back up together under the pace car, the lobby host will choose a determined lap for those who want to pit to do so. During the caution, the first car a lap down may also regain their lap.

Remember, whenever you pit you must rejoin on the backstraight after turn 2, run the apron through turn 1 and 2.

Please check live timing for your hosts for this evening. Please keep in mind that lobbies 4 and 5 may change depending on how many of the non-qualifiers who signed-in show up. I plan on splitting 4 and 5 evenly so that there aren't too little people in lobby 5. 120 laps can be awfully lonely with a small group!
