TEC Round 2: Driver Briefing and Gen Discussion
TORA Endurance Championship Round 2: 8 Hours of Spa
Welcome to the second round of the 2018 Season of the TORA Endurance Championship! For this round, we head to Belgium to the famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Even though Spa might live in the shadow of its French cousin Le Mans, Spa is clearly one of the classic race circuits beloved by drivers and spectators alike, known for its long straights and famous corners such as Eau Rouge and Raidillon.
Qualifying - This will be the typical 1-Hour Endurance Qualifying. Drivers will have 45 minutes to set their fastest clean lap. We will be adding the best qualifying results from each team, so remember that more than one driver has to take part in qualifying. To sign up for qualifying, please use THE QUALIFYING THREAD. Remember that drivers should be/appear online 15 minutes prior to qualifying start, and should keep in-lobby chat to a minimal.
Race - This is a 8-hour Endurance race. Drivers will be competing in 4 stints of two hours each. However, drivers are reminded that the race actually only lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes. Drivers are reminded that they are to use THE STINT THREAD to assign stints to each of their drivers. Drivers are expected to be familiar with the rules and regulations come race time, so please review them before September 8th.
Pit Stops - GT cars are required to make at least 2 pit stops each stint.
Stint Starting Procedures - Stint 1 will start with a typical 80 mph 2x2 Rolling Start. Stint 2 through 4 will be a single file start, starting at the double white line at the end of the grid slots, near the gantry with the track name on it. (See picture below for reference.) To be clear, stint 1 will start at a "F1" start finish line, while 2-4 will start at the reference image.
If anyone has further questions, please post them in this thread. Good luck, and I will see you all on track.

Heyo, for realism sake shouldn't the stints go day-night-night-day?

Stint light will be based on the actual day/night at the track. So when the sun goes down there at Spa in real. We do a night stint.

Fair. Didn't know if they'd want to simulate the 24 closer or not. It's the same either way.

Oh, if we wanted to simulate the 24h, we would be doing a full 24 hour race instead of an 8 hour one. We are emulating the WEC race in this case. Frez is right, I base the day/night transition as close to actual time as I can get.

To be clear, before anyone goes apeshit about track limits during the race, what does TORA specify as the track limits? The actual track limits, or outer limit of the kerbs? Asking this because as you all know, nailing the actual track limits every lap is quite difficult in a GT car.

Forza clean. We fully expect nobody to be perfect, but drivers will be penalized for excess cutting.

Nice to see the Ford got an increase in rear tire width.

Re: TEC Round 2: Driver Briefing and Gen Discussion
Okay so I have question. I am running on team HCCR GT #57 and we have 2 people on our team at the moment. Our HCCR LMP team is no longer running. Can I move GoSox2000 off of the LMP team and let him run om my GT team?
