NAFFCAR Lap Times
Got that great lap you want to brag about?
Want to find out where your pace stacks up?
Post that here.

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
So far my personal best at Mugello is a 1:06.1xx in doing five lap runs in quite a few different cars. Still undecided as to what car, or class, I am running. So many good options to pick from.
Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
A quick glance at the C-class leaderboards show a 1:04.2 as the fastest time but, the cars on that board won't conform to the overweight/underpowered rules of this car list, since they can't use Forza aero and have to have a roll cage.

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
^ Yeah. My Rivals lap is a 1:05.8 in a MX% with aero and a LB tune. Happy to get near that in a NAFFCAR Specs build and my own lame tune.
Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
Is Forza aero banged then. I didn't see that?

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
Yeah, it is.
NO Body Modifications except for Removal of Bumpers or Wings where applicable.
Amendment: Addition of Rally Lights, Police Lights, Surfboards, Luggage Racks Spare Tires/Tyres and/or Mudflaps IS allowed and encouraged
the "NO Body mods" bit means no parts (Hoods, spoilers, splitters, skirts, etc) can be added.
The exception listed below that is for the few goofy cars but those parts are for aesthetics rather than performance. No adjustable aero is allowed on any of the cars though.

Testing If the Hotwheels Beetle should be legal.
1:05.5 at Mugello untuned. (built with max handling.)

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
I had done my testing on the Falcon w/o a race cage. Added the cage and added half a second to my lap times. I can't get it back, so for the UK I am racing the 58 Fury. A grip beast with huge fins, go figure.
Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
Just a reminder that in the rules, when it says that there is not to be *any* added body parts such as spoilers, front splitters, side skirts, hoods, etc...
The exception to this rule is if you can add rally lights, mudflaps, something like that, but it cannot be performance-enhancing. For example, the Renault Clio Williams... if you add the spare tire, it'll add adjustable aero, which is prohibited. If you're not sure if you can add a select part or not, ask Mikey, he'll gladly make a verdict for you.
I've seen a few recent ghosts were people are using these sorts of parts and it won't be fun if someone sees that you're running illegal parts and you get your points taken away.

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
1:05.8xx at Mugello, 1:05.1xx at Silverstone, 1:03.8xx at Homestead, 58.6xx at Lime Rock all in the Escort RS1800 with a basic build and tune.
1:23.8xx at Sebring in a missile Volvo 123GT for fun.
Still undecided on running as I know I'll miss at least 1 round because of work.

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
I think I've hit a 1:04.xxx at Silverstone in the Camino, can't remember exact time, but it's quite high on the C Class Rivals LB.
Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
Low to mid 3s will be the better times. The CRX is not going to get there, no matter how hard I try.
I wish there'd been another grip track on the calendar to give the FWD cars a chance but, it just means I've got more chances to try outside-slingshot passes haha.

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
I've hit a 1:03.88 but know I left a tenth or two on the table. I'm not going to be in the front couple rows, but am starting to think I'll end up middle of in A Lobby if I can do that Thursday night.

Re: NAFFCAR Lap Times
Mikey has a 1:03.9 on the boards in said El Camino
The speed cars should be shooting for mid to low 3s. I think a perfect lap in the CRX would be a 1:03.6, no amount of rebuilds has made the car any quicker. You can only do so much when the car is mostly WFO round the track anyway.

It's not a great time if you're in an underpowered car this week
