TORA iRacing Cadillac Cup - Rules & Regulations
Welcome to the TORA iRacing Cadillac Cup! This championship will be hosted on iRacing.com and consist of 7 Rounds.
By registering for the series, you agree to the Rules and Regulations written in this thread and the TORA Driver’s Handbook. Please take time to carefully review the following regulations carefully before entry. TORA reserves the right to alter this rules package as needed for the purpose of fairness and clarity in competition.
This rules package is not fully inclusive. Please refer to the TORA Driver’s Handbook for full definitions of terms relating to basic regulation in TORA competition. Note that specific rules for this series will take precedence over rules outlined in the Driver’s Handbook:

1. Championships
1.1 Driver’s Championship
This will be a competition between every registered driver regardless of team affiliation. The points at the end of this series will be the final total after the inclusion of ONE dropped round.
1.2 Teams Championship
This will be a competition fought by a group of up to 3 Competitors. The points at the end of this series will be the final total without a dropped round. In the event of more than 2 drivers being on a team, the highest points scored by the team will be recorded.
1.3 Privateer’s Championship
This will be a competition between competitors not registered to a team. The points at the end of this series will be the final total without a dropped round.
1.4 Dropped Rounds
The drop round will be the competitor’s lowest score. This includes rounds with scores of 0 points, but not rounds when the competitor received a penalty
2. Livery Rules
2.1 This series has defined livery rules that each Competitor must adhere to in order to participate. Failure to do so may suspend participation or result in a disqualification. Livery requirements are at the link below:

3. Car and Build Rules
3.1 This series will use the free Legacy Cadillac CTS-V included with every iRacing subscription.
3.2 Setups will be fixed to the baseline.sto setup provided by iRacing.
4. Qualifying
4.1 The fastest, clean lap from a Competitor, as denoted by the sim will be recorded for qualifying.
4.2 Qualifying sessions will consist of 2 laps total that must be completed within a ten-minute window.
5. Race Starts
5.1 The start of each race will begin under rolling start procedures.
5.2 During a rolling start, the field will complete one pace lap at pace speed, controlled by the iRacing pace car, in double-file formation.
5.3 The race can start under two conditions: (1) The leader can start accelerating at any point after the pace car pulls into the pit lane, or (2) when iRacing displays the green flag.
6. Series Format (UPDATED 10/5/20)
6.1 Each round will consist of the following: 10 minutes of practice | 10 minutes to qualify (2 laps total) | 40 minutes of race time.
6.2 (UPDATED 10/22/20) Track State/Usage will be manually set as followed: 20% Practice | 40% Qualifying | 60% Race.
6.3 Weather will be set to partly cloudy, with time set to x1.
7. Safety Car
7.1 A Safety Car will be automatically called when iRacing deems an incident to be hazardous for the competitors on track. Follow Safety Car procedures as displayed.
7.2 Safety Cars will not be manually called by an admin.
8. Pit Stops (UPDATED 10/5/20)
8.1 Competitors are allowed to pit as needed for tires, fuel and repair damage to their car in the case of an incident.
8.2 Competitors will be given 1 fast repair per round.

10. Postponed Meetings
10.1 Sometimes a round/meeting may be postponed. TORA Staff and the Race Director will decide whether the meeting is cancelled or moved elsewhere on the calendar.
11. Series Points
11.1 This will be the points system for the championship and will be the same in the overall, privateers and teams standings.
