Welcome to TORA's Z-Cup!
This championship will be hosted on Forza Motorsport and consist of 6 rounds.
Each round will consist of two races of equal length.

By registering for the series, you agree to the rules and regulations written in this thread and the TORA Driver’s Handbook. Please take time to carefully review the following regulations carefully before entry. TORA reserves the right to alter this rules package as needed for the purpose of fairness and clarity in competition.

This rules package is not fully inclusive. Please refer to the TORA Driver’s Handbook for full definitions of terms relating to basic regulation in TORA competition. Note that specific rules for this series will take precedence over rules outlined in the Driver’s Handbook:

1. Championships
   1.1 Driver’s Championship
         This will be a competition between every registered driver regardless of team affiliation. The points at the end of this series will be the final total after the inclusion of ONE dropped round.
   1.2 Teams Championship
         This will be a competition fought by a group of 2 or 3 Competitors. The points at the end of this series will be the final total after the inclusion of ONE dropped round.
         In the event of 3 drivers being on a team, the points scored by the highest 2 scoring drivers will be recorded per round.
   1.3 Privateer’s Championship
         This will be a competition between competitors not registered to a team. The points at the end of this series will be the final total after the inclusion of ONE dropped round.
   1.4 Dropped Rounds:
         The dropped round will be the competitor’s lowest score. This includes rounds with scores of 0 points, but not rounds when the competitor received a penalty.

2. Livery Rules
   2.1 This series has defined livery rules that each Competitor must adhere to in order to participate. Failure to do so may suspend participation or result in a disqualification.

3. Car and Build Rules
   3.1 This series has a defined build, or list of cars with defined builds that each Competitor must adhere to in order to participate.
         Failure to do so may suspend participation or result in a disqualification.

4. Hosting and Marshals
   4.1 A race may be split into multiple, numbered lobbies depending on the amount of registered drivers.
        Each lobbies will be hosted by chosen members of the Marshal Team or TORA Staff designated as the Lobby Host.
   4.1.1 Communication for this series will be run through discord voice channels in the TORA server.
   4.2 Members of the Marshal Team who have registered but are not designated as a Lobby Host may be expected to host in situations in which they are needed.
   4.3 The host of each lobby will be expected to gather data, position Competitors and ensure that regulations are followed.

5. Qualifying
   5.1 The fastest lap from each Competitor, as denoted by the timers in the game will be recorded for qualifying.
     5.1.1 All clean laps are scored ahead of all dirty laps.
     5.1.2 Forza Motorsport records the fastest outright lap, even if it is dirty. Therefore it is now the competitors own responsibility to back off once a lap is dirty, to ensure that the game displays the
              fastest clean lap at the end of the session.
   5.2 Qualifying sessions will last five laps. One outlap and four flying lap attempts.
   5.3 The Lobby Host will record the results.

6. Race Starts    
   6.1 All races in this series will feature a rolling start.
   6.2 The pole sitter will have the option to choose the side of the grid for all of the 'odd' numbered positions.
   6.3 Upon loading into the race session, the pole sitter will be the first to leave the grid, and lead the field around for a full outlap, initially not exceeding 60MPH/97 KMH.
     6.3.1 During the out lap, the rest of the field must organise themselves into qualifying order, at the host's instruction.
     6.3.2 Drivers will proceed around in 2x2 formation, with the pole sitter choosing the right or left lane for all of the 'odd' positioned cars.
     6.3.3 Once the starting order has been established, and all cars are in formation, the host may instruct the leader to speed up to 100MPH/161 KMH, until the final corner, when they must drop back
                to 60MPH/97KMH.
   6.4 On the approach to the start/finish line, the front row cars may not exceed 60MPH/97KMH.
     6.4.1 Cars behind may go faster in order to maintain formation, but must not be exceeding 60MPH/97KMH when they cross the start/finish line.
     6.4.2 As each car crosses the start/finish line, they may accelerate and begin racing.

7. Series Format
   7.1 The grid for the first race will be in qualifying order.
   7.2 The grid for the second race will be based on the finishing results of the first race, but with a top 50% invert.

8. Safety Car
   8.1 A safety car may only be called if three (3) or more cars are damaged in an incident

9. Pit Stops
   9.1 There are no mandatory pitstops in this series.
   9.2 However the pitlane remains open throughout all sessions for damage repairs.

11.Postponed/Cancelled Meetings
   11.1 Sometimes a round/meeting may be postponed. TORA Staff and the Race Director will decide whether the meeting is cancelled or moved elsewhere on the calendar.
