Re: Slider S15's SBR Tuning Evo 6 TME Time Attack 09
Heres a quick update on the car...
I was extremely impressed with how it ran last thursday with the car feeling great and stable. However what impressed me the most was how competitive it was!!
Round one saw me pull out a personal best by half a second which saw me claim 3rd place in club class behind the Plow Motorsport cars of Tubbi and Butcher.
Round two wasnt much different, with the car being let down by my lack of track knowledge of Silverstone international. This Lead to a 4th place with my 1st run time being beaten by SBR Team Mate Sam Billing on his second Run through. However i am Pleased to report that this was by a stupidly small margin of 0.048 seconds which just goes to show how competitive this event can be!
This has resulted in me currently sitting 3rd in class, a position shared with Team mate Sam Billing and his SBR Tuning Team ice replica Impreza S204.
This coming thursday sees Time Attack return to its spiritual home of Japan with Tskuba Circuit and Suzuka East Circuit. Preperations are already well underway with the car nearing the end of its Development.
"I feel im still finding serious chunks of speed around Tskuba, However its Suzuka im most worried about. The track has never agreed with me and i'v been struggling to find a rythem and consistancy."
Anyway... Here are some pictures from the the UK with Rounds 1 and 2....

New Sponsors For Slider's Final Podium Push:
With the Finale of The TORA Time Attack Season upon us tonight, Slider has bought in some extra funding to help towards his final push for the Poduim.
Thi comes in the form of Popular car enthusiast magazine "Practical Performance car". The Magazine, Perhapse most famous for their track day Rolls Royce (Youtube it), will have their logo displayed on the rear quarter pannel of the SBR built Machine for the final rounds in Spain this Thursday. "Were very proud to have our name on slider's car as he represents our etho's of speed through inginuity and hard work rather than a large Wallet."
Slider has also picked up some support from the Exhaust deparment of HKS Japan whose logo will adorn the rear bumper of his SBR Evo for the final Two Rounds.
Working Hard or Hardly working? Slider Lets off Steam at a recent Practice session...
Slider is currently sitting in third in the Club class standings and feels good about his chances of retaining or even improving upon that third place.
"I know its going to be hard and Japan really pushed that home, Luckily for us those that were faster than us there were just joining the championship and so cant beat myself who has raced in all of the events..."
"However its the Mugen Integra's that im most worried about with their strong pace in Japan. I need to beat them if i stand a chance of a podium or that desired Second place in the championship."
"However hopefully the tight nature of the track will help me here as the Front wheel drives may struggle to launch out of the twisties as hard as my Evo."
"However it goes Down Tonigh i'll be proud of what i've achieved and i'll still be in love with this car!!"
The Finale of the Championship is tonight and Myself and the Whole SBR team would like to wish all competitors good luck!
