Formula 1: Hungarian GP Updates and comments Empty Formula 1: Hungarian GP Updates and comments

Post by Matt Thu 23 Jul 2009 - 10:26

Soooo.... the racing is back....we hope. Murray thinks 6 teams stand a chance of victory this weekend. Let's see...

Brawn GP......yes, Red Bull....yes, Ferrari... yes, Ok thats three. Now onto the maybes. McLaren obviously, um... isn't that kind of it?
Oh yes Torro Rosso get a new driver with the most mispronounced name in history. He won't be winning so Legard and Brundle won't have to worry too much. Force India say that Germany was no fluke. Well, I'd start putting big bumpers on the back, it seems to attract Ferraris in that case.
Renault.... yeah ok, not gonna happen. Nowt, zilch, nada.
Toyota? Possibly points but not a win. I'm a firm believer that for performance here see Monaco. So I'm expecting a Brawn/Red Bull fight again. Hopefully Jense can get back on track and consolidate his championship lead.

So there's my thoughts on Hungary.... over to you!

Hungaroring seems to have a history of attracting new winners, drivers who get their maiden win in a seemingly normal environments. (ie. no rain, major player retirements) For example...

Damon Hill
Fernando Alonso
Jenson Button
Heikki Kovalainen

...so 2009, could be one for, i dunno, Glock? Rosberg? Barrichello is due a win too. Or will it be just a normal regular GP?

i think the brawns might have some tire issues still since it's not warm out in hungary.

i think vettel or webber runs away with it again unless it rains or they are involved in contact

Hopefully Massa is ok. Apparently Eddies says he has only taken a knock to the chin.

could Barrichellos rear rod of been the thing that hit his helmet? That really knocked him hard. Good sign to have seen him waving slightly.

Oft, just saw the BBC coverage of it, took quite a knock. At least he was moving his arms when he was taken out of the medical car.

Defo a bit from Rubens' car, thankfully it wasn't anything bigger and that it didn't hit him square in the visor.

Like they say, similar thing happening twice within a week?

Must have been knocked to near unconscious since he gradually slowed by pressing the break. Unfortunately not enough to prevent the large hit into the barrier.

Yeah, Rubens went to see him and he said that he was speaking so thats good.

The F1 feed seems a bit wonky today as well since we can't see any of the times!
