Re: Wheel Vs Controller
Lot's of hard work means a new setup, 32" 1080 TV already up, now just for the rest...Chosen the seat I'll be ordering at some point this week. Decided to go for a logitech drive Fx, better than the 360 wheel but not as good as fanatec or the g25/7. Should be awesome fun on TDU2, which is the main reason for me finally choosing to get a wheel.
White or black...Chosen black so I won't be cleaning sweat off the seat after a 8 hour drive on TDU.

Hehe - shame you didn't have the cash together before xmas - u could have bought Chillz's
Re: Wheel Vs Controller
I did but had no idea he was selling it. Bit early anyway, I was only considering it because I didn't think I would use it that much. But then I remembered TDU2 is out on the 11th and then realised I'm going to be constantly playing it...hell I might aswell just do it and get a good setup.
I'm planning on doing alot of hotlapping sessions on FM3 though, I'm staying with the pad for Forza until I'm quicker with the wheel. Need to get comfortable, the last wheel I owned was for the PS1 and GT2.

This always confuses me, how are you going to get quicker with the wheel if you are using the pad?

Re: Wheel Vs Controller
I meant I'll be using the pad for series racing until I'm up to speed, doing some hotlapping and public hoppers to practice.

Re: Wheel Vs Controller
Ok Not having a go or anything, I just remember when I got a wheel, all I wanted to do was use it all the time, took me around two weeks to get up to speed.

Re: Wheel Vs Controller
Would I be correct i assuming that it really does pay to get a GOOD wheel rather than just any one?
When I had one for my PS2 before it was.... ok but not an amazing one and I was slower than with a controller. I do reckon that something like the Thrustmaster or Porsche GT2 RS would actually be of benefit though. It's just a case of affording them lol

Re: Wheel Vs Controller
I don't have a wheel, so this is the closest I have to my setup.

Now why was this moved here when it was a sarcastic reaction to the conversation in the Forza 4 details thread, hmmm?

Re: Wheel Vs Controller
Odd......
Aaaaaanyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how much better my racing will be with a wheel. I get the impression that I ought to be able to go alot quicker with the wheel, more accuraty in the corners, less likelyhood to over-steer the car. Better control over sliding cars , better throttle control and so on.
Should be an interesting test
