All that we got out of the testing is that the Viper with a stock tune is faster by far than the Aston and Ford with tunes.

I could of done better this evening, but I just wasn't with it. One reason being the lack of sleep and me not being in any hard testing for the first time in months.

However I reckon I can go quicker around the tracks I tested on, mainly Silverstone GP and Mugello.

Gashi i could of told you that 2 days a go lol, the aero package is mental! It corners like its on rails!!

Apart from that the rest of the cars that were there seemed gd.

my lobby was dominated by the astons. i think it comes down to the driver and tuning really, i was at least 20 mph slower on a straight than the astons and was far behind until we got to the final cornering compex

Well i was drive a Viper and i felt i had a reali big advantage over the cars....i am sure magic in the other viper will agree. The lap time spoke for them selfs, and the racing wasn't fair either as soon as the viper got passed everyone...which it did with ease its dissapeared off at the front.

I stand by my statment that this is a stupid car to have on the list!!!

I agree with Ian on this, the viper is too fast to be on the list.

I say get the viper off the list and make the 650 cars 660 and u will have great list and some great racing.....

yes i picked the viper but i found it even with all the other cars. i liked it best because it fits my driving style and i like downforce.

Seriously, shut up about the car list already.
We had the NSX running almost equal laptimes to the Viper before the whining revised the car list and took it off. It was a really nice car, but fine, we left it.
The Viper is a good car, but just because you can't catch it doesn't mean its too good. Do you honestly know how many times I couldn't catch a car in the GTC, LMS, TCC etc? TOO FREAKING MANY! I would've loved if I could call out the car and say it was too good b/c of my personal preference, but like the NSX deal, I had to keep my mouth shut.
I really think people need to stop b*tchin' about the car lists and just get their cars ready now that they have competition. What would happen if the Viper got removed? Some people would be out of their favorite car choice and the whiners would be constantly winning.
I don't say this b/c I am running the Viper, but because its really annoying to look at the posts that are complaining because some car is "too good" The damn Viper has very little PI to play with compared to the others, so take advantage of that. Every series has the car that everyone wants. Apparantly, the Viper is that car. Unless the NSX comes back on the list, arguing would be pointless.
Maybe now wins won't be handed to people.

Lol, the viper with stock aero still has more aero than my GT or Mercedes with the downforce turned all the way up. I think the older 99 viper should be in place of the new viper. Just a way of making the cars at least look fair. I have no problem with the GT and other cars at 650, they would have too much power/straight line speed if you upped the pi. I just think the Viper has an unfair downforce advantage. On long straights, the viper is going to be at a disadvantage, I will agree with that, but the Aston was pulling away from everyone on the straights, not just the viper.

in my own private testing, the tune i applied to the Viper, had it faster than any car ive built for the tracks ive tested at thus far (Catalunya & Bugatti Circuit). the best lap i pulled out of the DBS at Catalunya was 0.8xx seconds slower than the '08 ACR. (Gashi and i tested together one night when i hit my best DBS time at Catalunya) at Bugatti, it's kinda the same.

IMO, if the '99 Viper ACR isnt looked at, the '03 SRT10 would be a nice fit instead of the '08 ACR.

Seems everyone is of the same thinking about the viper.apart from the ppl who have decided that car choise has already been agreed. Yes the older vipers wud be more fair to have running.and dont moan about ppl moanin. The tests are to make sure the cars are fair and there obv not.......well they are bar the viper.

YO dudes. chill the .... out ;O) only joking. I ran the Viper in testing with no tune and no experience of running it at that PI and without 4 x 4. Constantly in the 1.48's with ease, quickest lap 148.4. These lap times were rubbish in my opinion (as I didnt string one together in 30 mins!!!) and do not reflact the times that could be acheived with a tune on and once used to the car. High 1.46's at Catalunya are possible!! What lap times were the 'other' lobby doing?
