RACE Pro?

I got this the other week.. and... ITS SO MUCH BETTER THAN FORZA PHYSICS WISE (dont get me wrong, FM3 is one of the most awsome games ever, but.. Simbin know their stuff!)!! But yeah, RACE Pro has been picking back up again recently, and i have managed to get into some really nice battles online with randoms, and with Magictap, Adam and Chad. And since we dont talk about RACE Pro enough on here, I thought i'd start a thread for any discussions about RACE Pro.

I see a few wee free sundays on the calendar... Mabey we could sneak a wee RACE Pro event in there I know Pebb and Culchi will agree.

hahaa, you gotta admit though, the physics are superior, and it actualy lets you use ALL 270 degrees of the M$ wheel rather than the 180 that FM3 lets you use before you get to the big ''lump'' in the steering.

hmmm however, the visuals and wooden brakes and terrible lobby system .... board of this convo now.

the visuals give it its charm. They have comprimised polish for physics.. ahem.. Simulator. The brakes are not wooden, they work in the exact same way as FM3, except the wheels locking up are less noticible, which is more like what a real car would do, rather than lock up all 4 wheels, vibrate like hell set on fire.

And i'd much rather have a lobby that lets you drive around in your car and make setup adjustments than spend ages on a white screen with gamertags.

RACE PRO rocks. The only racing game you can join and tune while others drive around, no sitting in lobbies getting bored or annoyed waiting. I have more fun in 5 minutes racing WTCC 2007 cars than i've had in forza 1, 2 & 3. I still love forza but this gamer is for racers not posers.

Hahaha, the ''From the creators of GTR'' symbol on the RACE Pro box is what makes me want to play it most of the time...

I wish I had GTR2 Especialy now that the M$ wheel is compatible with the PC! All you need to buy is a wireless adaptor (not to be mixed up with the Wireless network adaptor)

In my view the reason the graphics on Race Pro were not that great, is the amount of data used in other area's of the game. Which in turn uses quite a lot of the cores on the CPU.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind sacrificing some more graphics for a more realistic framerate.

Been enjoying Race Pro's superior physics and detail quite alot today, messing around in mostly F3000 lobbies online. This got me thinking, could we possibly resurect the old ''Open Wheel'' series that was run along side the Season 2 GT3 season next year? I'm sure there are plenty of people who want to do some RACE Pro stuff.

Any space in the calendar to run an Endurance race? I'm thinking either GT1's at Spa or Vintage Div. A or B around spa.

Don't have the DLC for this, don't imagine many of us do, but we can arrange a CGN for this, I'd be up for that, I like Race Pro.

i will be making a late entry into the race pro 'club' played it at tobys on wednesday and well i bougth a copy there and then ordering steering wheel tonight so i will be hopefully up and running for a race in near fututure!!
