BrennGP's CER project :: Comments
Pretty much
Figured I could put my Duckhams livery to some use.
We hope to run a pair of Ford SVT Cobra Mustangs as Duckhams Brenn GP in the Classic Endurance Racing's GT2 class from this weekend's Mugello round. One for garyp3398 and one for me.
Our team entry has been lodged, and we await word that it has been accepted.

I'll send you one soon. Can't wait for the Jalopnik pack to get the actual Escort!

Your order has been shipped. Please allow up to whenever you can be bothered accepting it for delivery.
If delivery does not arrive by the time you are next on Forza, please contact our customer service dept.
Thanks for using ckBrenneke's Liveries Direct.
Look out for our Need For Speed Shift Nissan GTR, coming this February!
The team entry to the CER has been accepted.
I don't expect to be challenging the front runners in class, but do hope to put in some consistant points-scoring results. The car will be developed over the course of the season, but has been comfortable and fun in testing.

CER update, 29/03/10
As the team arrives back in the UK following the second round of the TORA Classic Endurance Racing series at Road America, BrennGP owner ckBrenneke has been reflecting on the team's fortunes so far.
"The car is a brick with wheels," he laughed when asked how the Mustang had performed. "We were very much down on power compared to our rivals. The car is light, sure, but the modifications we made to the standard V8 power plant were minimal. As such, we were topping out on the straights long before our rivals, Martini Porsche."
"The cars are in containers out in the US now ready to come back here to the workshop in Prestwick," he continued. "We have a month before we take them back to the Nurburgring, so we are going to strip them down and start again from scratch. The Mustang Cobra was never the most aerodynamic of shapes, and the hole it was punching in the air only served to benefit the other competitors. So it seems we will need to go for brute force. The engine is going to be uprated and we will probably do some balancing work on the chassis, as we were getting killed in the corners out there."
The CER entry has not exactly gone to plan for BrennGP. At the first round at Mugello, ckBrenneke was unable to race after being diagnosed with exhaustion following a heavy working schedule, and garyp3398 failed to make the grid for the start of the race. In the US, again ckBrenneke failed to set a qualifying time after arriving late at the circuit, meaning he started at the back for the race proper. The team is crossing their fingers that by the time Nurburgring makes it round, they have a car that can fight for track position.

if you'd like Scot, i can send you the build/tune i used in my Mustang Cobra on sunday, and see how you feel behind the wheel. not exactly sure how well it will do at Nurburg GP, but it might be fitting for Road Atlanta later in the sched
Another disastrous meeting for Duckhams BrennGP saw only one car attend due to work conflicts for ckBrenneke. garyp3398 flew the flag for the team, but his meeting was cut short following a first lap smash that ultimately meant he had to retire the car following mechanical failure.
The team are hoping to field both cars for next month's CER round at Road Atlanta, with a stronger showing predicted thanks to the technical assistance from fellow competitor DMR Switch.
