Re: Formula Drift USA 2010 - Discussion and Live Streams
Ok guys heres a Quick Reminder that Tonight and Tomorow night is Round 3 of The Championship.
Tonight is Qualifying with Tomorow being the Top 32, Top 16 all the way to the Final.
No new Cars that i know of for this round however there are some people to look out for.....
Robbie Nishida will be back out in the R35 GTR, one of the new cars this season Really making a huge impact, Expect it to run better and better throughout the season.
Tanner Foust will be annother one to Watch after failing to Qualify here last year and going out at Road Atlanta after touching the other Scion tC in the Top 16.
Michael Essa in the BMW E92 "350R" V10 had a great run at Road Atlanta and could well be on Giant Killing duties again this weekend.
Finally there is Darren McNamara who will be driving the fastest and most powerful car in Competition on a BROKEN WRIST Sustained in Top 32 at Road Atlanta, He Drove well through the pain then but with a mush more sustained pressure at this Venue and him not being fully healed he could be a Real one to watch!
(Dont forget the coverage is available afterwards on the Drift Stream or LIVE)

FD USA Round 4 Preview
OK Guys this weekend is Formula Drift USA Round 4 from Seattle.
Heres a quick preview of the event:
Last year in Seattle it was Reining Champion Chris Forsberg in the NOS Energy Drink 350Z Roadster who was victorious, with Eric O'Sullivan in the Rockstar Hankook Subaru Impreza WRX STi in 2nd and Tyler McQuarrie in the Falken V8 350Z Roadster coming home 3rd.
This year it is almost Guarenteed to be different with the last two Finals being between Falken Tires Team Mates Dai Yoshihara in the V8 S13 and Vaugh Gitten Jr in the Falken Monster Mustang, With Dai victorious both times.
Here are my personal "ones to watch" for this weekends Event.
Eric O'Sullivan will be on a mission this weekend after failing to qualify for any of the first 4 rounds due to electrical problems following the closed season rebuild. He will be out to prove that he's still got what it takes to win Drift Titles and that the rebuild wasnt a huge mistake.
Fredric Aasbo will make his Formula Drift return this weekend after setting the world alight at Round 1 in his Red Toyota Supra. Expect to see him once again challenging for the top spot and putting in giant killing performances along the way.
Rhys Millen will be annother driver out to prove something this weekend, having crashed out of Round 2 and Round 3 and having lost both Unlimited Class at Pikes Peak and his Time Attack RWD Class record.
Finally there is Darren McNamara in the Falken Tires V8 Saturn Sky who will be out for vengance after being "Robbed" for 3rd place by Tanner Foust at Round 3 after Foust used dirty Tacitcs to force McNamara into hitting him in his chase run thus allowing Foust the default win and 3rd place. Expect to see some serious Fireworks should Foust and McNamara do battle once again this weekend.
Qualifying is Friday Night and The rest of the competition is Saturday night.
Should you miss it live, Qualifying and the Top 16 competition to the final will be available to stream after the Event.

Reigning Champion Chris Forsberg to Compete in the UK
Reigning Formula Drift USA Champion Chris Forsberg is due to make his UK Competition Debut at the Trax Show on September 5th 2010.
Forsberg will preform his Famous "Bottle Trick" Where he drifts at a wall and knocks the top off of a bottle protruding from the wall with his rear bumper, as well as competing against some of Britains best in the JDM Allstars Championship Final.
This will be the first time a Formula Drift USA driver has competed in the UK. Unusually for a top name driver visiting from outside of Europe, Forsberg will be competing in his Competition car, The NOS Energy Drink V8 350Z Roadster. (If it survives FD Vegas on the 20-21st August that is)
