Would it be possible to not run an adjustable front splitter?

Re: Regulation Clarification
No I'm fine with the splitters being in the rules, I would just rather not run one because im scared of major oversteer problems in pretty much every corner. A little rephrase is needed...

Re: Regulation Clarification
You obviously dont understand what im talking about here... I'm talking oversteer in terms of downforce not power.
Since when did aero effect power oversteer?

Because it pushes the rear tyres into the ground giving grip and downforce into the corners, i tried similar cars to the GT4's a while ago for Britcar and they were fine without the rear wing so dont worry babz

Re: Regulation Clarification
Im talking about front downforce. Nothing to do with the rear at all, just worried about the front being pushed down making a ''pivot'' effect in the corners..

Re: Regulation Clarification
Nicky, you've asked the same question three times in two hours. Think you could maybe give people a chance? Perhaps we have to consider the balancing implications of not running a splitter and the effect that will have on the disparity of the field? A bit if patience wouldn't go amiss.

Re: Regulation Clarification
as the rules say you must, and if you will suffer with oversteer so will everyone else

Re: Regulation Clarification
The only reason i asked it three times was because I thought I wasn't being clear in my question.
Cheers for the clarification.

Re: Regulation Clarification
Few questions and a few suggestions:
(sorry for the long-winded nature)
-Can anyone gift me over the window banner/number board vinyl groups please? I've always replicated the vinyls myself in the past as I see it as my responsibility to provide a finished paint job for my drivers. This time I've copied the number board with no problem but the window banner isn't in a standard font and I've not got the time or patience for it.
-I take it we're not having the same freedom to choose the text and background colours on the window banner this time round?
-Why have we now got slanted number boards anyway? Takes up more space and whilst it looks good on one side of the car its just plain fugly on the opposite. I like my symmetry and like most take a lot of pride in my work, so its a bit frustrating that my cars going to have a good and a bad side now. Plus the number board is essentially a different shape when you put it on the opposite side of the car which causes problems arranging sponsors with small canvasses like the Lotus.
In the future once the entry list is published wouldn't it be better to gift out the boards/banners to the team owners? The rules say the owners are expected to submit completed spotters/scrutineering pictures for their drivers...but then when it comes to sending the finished paint to the drivers the boards/banner will need to be removed anyway. Doubles the work involved and the pictures that were submitted wouldn't even be of the actual paints being used.
When the next calendar is being finished can you make sure theres more than a week between the entry list going up and the start of the season? If we didn't get our first choice car then I simply would not have had the time to start another paint over.
And can someone also explain to me the benefit of timed qualifying over a set number of laps? With everyone leaving massive gaps to avoid slipstreaming I just don't understand how we can allow the potential for some drivers to get an extra qualifying lap purely because the random grid order put them up front.

Sorry for the bump but tonights the only chance I'm going to get to finish this...can someone at least let me know if I can get the vinyls and if the window banner needs to be the same colours as the one on the storefront? thanks
