to be fair aj i think hitting it with a hammer would switch it off but the problem arises when you try to switch it back on

Even though the TVR wasnt really the best around here. Still had some great racing.
I expect a couple videos will be made.

Yeah was a very good race. Had an awesome battle in the last few laps with Duncan and then Biggs. Apologies to anyone trying to talk to me last night my mic is knackered. I can hear you all as I use a gaming headset but I couldn't speak back.

Race 2 was good fun for the first 4 laps. Very close between me, Slim and Switch, but then it spread out a little bit. I think I sealed the Championship last night though, so I can relax now and take it easy!

yeah, i knew my Vette wasnt going to hold you and Slim off for long, so i did what i could. and once NickFTM got around Aero, he was catching me about .6-.7 seconds a lap, and was less than 200ft behind me coming to the checkers

Re: GT3 Meeting 8 Discussion Thread – Road America (Full Circuit)
Race 1 for me went pretty bad. I made a few mistakes and ended up finishing about 10 seconds behind Gary in last place. Race 2 was more exciting for everyone. I knew about the battles up front, but me and Gary were battling back and forth the whole race as his Vette was faster on the straights (by a long way) but my Viper was better in the corners. It was very tight race for 7th until the last lap when I accidentally ran too close to him at the Carousel and ended up taking him out (Sorry!).
But yes, GT3 is definitely very exciting this season.

Good to be back in this. Race one was pretty good, had a shocking start and made my way through the field until I had a good battle with Aero which I came out on top of . Race 2 made a much better start, unfortunatly, slight contact at the start with Y22, meant we both spun off with slight front aero damage. Drove the wheels off the car and made my way back up to fourth and if I had another lap, im pretty sure I would of got past Switch into 3rd. Good race, shame I havent made more of them

Re: GT3 Meeting 8 Discussion Thread – Road America (Full Circuit)
yeah Nick, you definitely would've taken the podium away from me if there was another lap. the difference in our lap times were definitely showing once you got past Aero. i was watching the interval indicator at each sector shrink

Yeah I knew before the race I couldn't speak. My pad is super crap sometimes and lets me hear others but I can't speak.

that was the other person i wanted to comment on.
gary, that was pretty epic in the first half of the first race. TVR is poo on long straights, so that corvette would just haul past me and there was not much i could do about it.
you guys just keep pluggin away at it. you'll see your times drop.

Re: GT3 Meeting 8 Discussion Thread – Road America (Full Circuit)
Hmmm..... interesting races tonight. Qualy blighted by poor set up which ultimately lost me time.
Reverted to the Laguna Seca tune which not only was nearly 80bhp up on the Sebring one but also handled better seemingly removing the dreaded understeer in T1 and Sunset.
Race 1 looked good before lag out.
Race 2 looked even better, a great start saw me briefly fourth before a small error at T9 dropped me back behind garyp. Around lap 9-10 I went a whole second quicker than qualy! But a number of small mistakes meant I wasn't able to catch gary. 6th was all I could do on a pretty tough race weekend.
All eyes on Le Mans now

Re: GT3 Meeting 8 Discussion Thread – Road America (Full Circuit)
today's race(s) were a tough one. At the start of Qualifying, my power went out, just as i was exiting 'SWITCH' corner. i was still able to qualify though, so i was glad with that. lap 1 - race 1, i did'nt respond fast enough at 'SWITCH' corner (turn 5), and got into the back of my own teammate but managed a 4th place finish. race 2, at the start, myself, biggs and one other tried to get around general's TVR, and i knew that wasnt going to end pretty so i backed off, and saw it was literally 4 or 5-wide going into turn 1. safety car was brought out. and right at the restart, past turn 1, i lost Audio on my Xbox (but i could hear voices), so i was having to deal with braking w/o hearing my engine tone.
overall, i had an interesting night.

Re: GT3 Meeting 8 Discussion Thread – Road America (Full Circuit)
well done to biggs...was really quick with slim in that porsche.
i'm pretty surprised at the pace of the TVR thus far.
i think silverstone will be another strong track for the TVR. with the two power tracks out of the way...Vibe will be working hard for a strong finish.

Re: GT3 Meeting 8 Discussion Thread – Road America (Full Circuit)
I think Redbeard deserves a special mention. After not racing for some time he was still well on the pace last night and was having an absolute stormer in race 2 until he got took off by Stonewall.
We've always joked that Redbeard always gets taken out by other people in pretty much every race and last night was no exception. Jenson's lag bomb taking him out of race 1 and Stonewall taking him out in race 2. Until then that TVR was all over my Porsche.
Don't let it put you off Dave! You were well on the button last night mate.
