Austins Motorsport News Letter
Hello everyone. Welcome to our first ever newsletter.
As you know, it was the first round of the 2008/2009 (season 3) British GT championship on Sunday (12/10/2008).
Hopes were high for the first race after some impressive times during pre-season testing. But not too high that we would manage to be in the top fifteen.
But to our surprise, we won our first ever race in the second lobby by a commanding margain (25 seconds to be precise). But also, 9th place overall.
Now, the team was going to prepare for the next round at Road Atlanta. But news came through that nearly everyone wouldn't expect at all. DAN 2605 has decided not to continue in his own team for the rest of the season.
But has decided instead to join BDR Marchie and KR15 One in the UPR Motorsport team. Marchie apparently was very impressed with Dan's result on Sunday in a very underated car.
But; does this mean that it's going to be the end of the road for Austins Motorsport. HELL NO.
They have plans of running a team in the BTCC next season and possible other commitments. Although the management hasn't decided for certain.
Thanks for reading and happy racing!!!!

well Jerzey, as far as I could tell, he was the only member of his team, making winning the team championship an impossibility, as without the second driver, you could not possibly score enough points. And competing for the team championship seems like the reason you'd have a team. So why not take your resource to another team, while still running for the drivers championship.
They benifit from having you help with setup and statagy and a fill in when needed, and you get to use the resources of your team to better your our performance. Makes perfect sense to me.
Congrats Dan, I'll do my best to make sure you don't take to many points away from P.E.R.T.
