V8 Camino Event - Qualifying

Qualifying for this event will take place over a number of sessions to enable us to set the grid and get racing straight away on race night.

You may still race, starting at the back of the grid in the bottom lobby if you do not qualify.

You may only attend one qualifying session.

Qualifying will be set to 8 laps (6 hot laps) and your best time (clean or dirty) will be recorded and added to the timing sheet. The final starting grid positions will be published shortly before the race, as the final qualifying session will take place at 19:30 UK time on race day.

The first qualifying session will take place on Tuesday 26th October at 20:00 UK time

The second qualifying session will take place on Saturday 30th October at 22:00 UK time

The third qualifying session will take place on Saturday 6th November at 22:00 UK time

The fourth (final) qualifying session will take place on Tuesday 9th November at 19:30 UK time prompt as the lobbies for the race will need to be set up from 19:45 before the race.


Please don't forget to register your entry on the event registration thread, and also check out the "scoring" thread to make sure you understand how that will work for this event.


Results after Q3:

Greetings all.

The first qualifying session for this series will take place tomorrow (Tues 26th) at 8pm UK time, and will be a 15 minute session.

Car build restrictions are the same as those for the V8 Challenge series.

Remember this is the first of four sessions, so don't worry if you can't make it tonight to qualify.

Please sign "IN" below if you are intending to qualify tonight to give me an idea of numbers.

I cant make qualifying tonight sorry just remembered im going out should be able to make it for the next session though

No problem. I will be online in time to grab anyone that wants to qualify tonight at 8pm, if no-one shows by 8:05 I'll do some testing instead or something!

ill rather test tonight as im not sure im up to speed at this track

Well done to the Energizer guys for being the first team to qualify for the Camino event (see OP for times).

The next qualifying session will be at 10pm UK time this Saturday coming.

Please give me a rough idea of your intention to qualify in this session by posting "IN" below.

im 'IN' for Saturday. 'cordin to da rule-book, TCS IS allowed right? cuz i have been testing with it

In case people aren't aware, or I forgot to put it elsewhere, please note that the RACE (not qualifying) will be on Simulation Damage

OK, well someone needs to make that clear in the entry/registration thread then.

Fantastic promo vid Matt! Travis may want to change the "7" to "14" on the rear of his car before the race tho! (I don't miss anything me!!!)
