Meh, I was excited for the first Shift and didn't like it. Need for Speed games are getting better but I'm not gonna get excited over this until I play it, no matter how many cgi trailers they throw at me.

And Unleashed? Really?

Cover artwork released. FIA GT1 and GT3 has been confirmed again. The game will feature Prototypes and a new ''Elite'' mode that will bring a more sim feel to the game (A mode which EA took out of Shift 1 last minute)

This Elite thing was made by SMS, and it was EA, not SMS that pulled it out. So hopefully this should be good, as SMS know what they are doing! (And deep down in the coding, Shift is related to the game engine that rfactor runs on..)

If that's not a placeholder cover art I'll eat my hat. No way are they going to get the GT1WC license and not capitalise on it/put it on the cover - I mean, look how heavily it's featured in the teaser trailer.

Yea I cant wait, they have new hardcore sim mode, so looks like they are taking the fia gt3 stance seriously fingers crossed, will feel aracdey still but nfs shift i still play and enjoy Smile

Been reading up on it and they aim to make it more of a sim racer in competition with Forza 3 and GT5 than Need For Speed has tried before. Whether they succeed or not, that can only be a good approach.

Remember, Shift 1 was supposed to be a sim, but EA demanded changes at the last second, which pretty much ruined it.

Slightly Mad Studios were part of the team responsible for GTR2 remember.
