Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Don't think Button will move to Ferrari, he loves it at McLaren! You can see that in the way he can drive amazingly, if the car was built around him, he would be winning all the time! Massa, I think, has just lost all his confidence after the crash and he is just being a pig. Issuing warnings to people who are better than him. I don't like him.

Perhaps if Vettel put the fingers away and stopped screaming like a little girl after winning races, i'd respect him more..

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Typical, I watch a bit of the F1 after I wake up from Bathurst, and they are all squabbling over some silly thing that happened at the start.
The F1 circus just seems so silly at times. It pretends its the only motorsport championship in the world, its very fussy about where it races (cash..) and it gets upset over nothing.
Ugh...
Off to South Korea next week then...

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Absolute rubbish, he's a deserving world champion.
He's good-natured, calm, enthusiastic, humble, good with the media, and very fast. Regardless of the fact the Red Bull being the quickest car, he still needs to be able to drive it to be able to get the maximum out of it, and it's not like his teammate has pushed him this season in the same machinery.
I'd much rather see Vettel's energy, enthusiasm and ability than Hamilton's petulance, arrogance and aggression. Hamilton has been a complete joke this season - everyone questions Vettel's ability to overtake, but why hasn't Hamilton been called to question for the same thing? How many times has he made avoidable contact while overtaking this season? How many times has he had to visit the stewards?
Yes, his aggressive style is entertaining to watch, but it is very much misplaced, and only succeeds in wrecking his tyres and his race. Button is the complete opposite, conserved and measured, and he is outscoring and outperforming Hamilton consistently. I hope Hamilton enjoys his number 2 position at McLaren next year.
I'm a Ferrari fan at heart, and although Alonso can be scheming, calculating, and ignorant, I still recognise that he is arguably the best driver on the grid. But I would rather see Button or Vettel win a race or WDC because they are far more likeable and deserving.

I'm happy for Vettel to win, Monza stands out to me as one of the best drives I have seen in a long time. The guy's in a class of his own.
His celebrations just don't suit him

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
What was the commotion about then Nicky? I haven't seen it yet, waiting for re-run at 2.40.
I just don't like Vettel. The races are so boring. You watch quali hoping it might be someone else, he gets pole and you think, oh, I know whos gonna win. Then the race comes, and hes gone like a frickin' bullet out of an AK47, no close racing, nothing, just gone, as if no one was there. I think the team are only in it for Vettel, because you NEVER, EVER, hear anything about Webber. Webber is such a great driver and a great guy. I prefer him over Vettel, because like Nicky said, Webber is a grown ass man who doesn't scream because hes won. Again.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Vettel made an aggressive move at the start of the race.
And if you want close racing, I can name more than a few races, including today, that have delivered that.
And I seem to remember Mark Webber CRYING when he won in Germany.

I ain't arguing about it. Everyone seems to argue about opinions and quite frankly, I don't care. You like Vettel, I don't, leave it at that.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Just seen the race. And you are saying Vettel is worthy of the title. Hes a kid! Did you see him nearly kill Button??? Or at least his race. And then he gives someone else a hand signal for being on the track and driving properly. And you wonder why I hate him...

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Congratulations to Adrian Newey for designing a bulletproof car with the most flawless design that the rules allow.
Congratulations to Dietrich Matescheitz for having enough money to keep that car going, with the possible suggestion that the team may be spending over budget.
Congratulations to Mark Webber for being the finest of all deadbeat teammates.
Congratulations to the entire F1 organisation for managing to generate the most boring championship in the history of the sport (yes thats including 2002).
Congratulations to the chosen few who have had the wool pulled over their eyes in thinking that this season great. Lets face it nothing has been great this year anyways.
Congratulations to Bernie Ecclestone for making the british viewers decide not pay 5 times the license fee for the privilage to watch this sort of championship next season. (you think anyone's going to try and watch this sort of racing via justin tv next season? Its not worth making the effort really)
Congratulations to Christian Horner for having a right leg, without it wobbling we wouldnt know who he was.
Congratulations to Sebastien Vettel for having an index finger and nothing more. The definitive boring champion, even Schumacher had the good grace to cheat (PROPERLY) once in a while.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Anyone who can win the F1 WDC deserves it, that's a given.
I don't see the logic behind claiming that Vettel isn't worthy of the title.

Agree Nicky, this is not going to be a Slag off Red Bull thread or slag off any 1 thread or I will lock and delete thread.
Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Ugh. Never happy with an opinion. Just block me from this thread. I'm fed up having to keep explaining my opinion. It's just an opinion that no one likes. Me and Adrian don't like Red Bull. Why? Because they make every race predictable and boring. I'm done talking to any of you about F1 because you all slag the people off who have an opinion about someone you love. Block me from this thread please.

You are missing the point, totally. I've never said i'm a fan of Vettel. Adrian never said he didn't like Red Bull.
There is a difference between explaining your point of view, and plain driver bashing. As i've said many times before here. If it were McLaren and Hamilton dominating, would you take a dislike to McLaren? Think about it.

I'm not bashing anyone Nicky all I said earlier was my view of when he darted across and nearly destroyed Buttons race. I agree with Adrian because he shares how I feel about this whole season.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Sebastien Vettel really is going to be one of the greats, if he isn't considered one already. Just an awesome lights to flag victory. Did that make an exciting race? No, it didn't. Did KuuhRS and DuuhRS do much to salvage the 18-23 male demographic from turning off the telly and playing fifa? No. A typical Grand Prix on a typical F1 track, with a fantastic drive from Sebastien Vettel, and a fantastic drive from Jenson Button.
Hamilton vs Massa: I saw it as a racing incident, and I found it hard to see how Massa could not have seen the chrome McLaren's nose peek into the corner of his eye at least. Hamilton tried to back out, but Massa was already committed, and that ugly piece of racing happened. I'm usually the first to criticise Lewis, but I thought he handled the whole thing pretty well, and for once I wasn't disagreeing with him during an interview.
Other than that.. not much to talk about really..
The drivers' standings say it all, the three number one drivers, one-two-three in order of the top three cars, with the number two drivers one-two-three in the same order of cars. Sebastien, Jenson and Fernando really are in another class to Mark, Lewis and Felipe.
