Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
The Lewis Massa incident was bloody stupid. Massa should have given that up, Lewis had been hounding him for lap after lap and was halfway along side before the Ferrari pulled back across and he had to try and get out of it...
Once again though, Lewis is carrying himself like someone who's een told his dog's dead. God knows what's up with him but he needs to get his head back in the game and soon. JB is walking all over him (not a bad thing IMO) but the situation is making Hamilton look amatuerish.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Just watched the re-run. I'm not gonna say anything about you know who because you all know I don't like him and every time I say something it turns into an argument and we all start bashing each other.
So, the Massa-Hamilton incident, mainly Massa's fault. Could easily see Hamilton was going to pull a move soon because his mirrors were full of silver and red. Was good to see someone else get the penalty.

Well, you've said something about him by saying that you won't say anything about him
You have to admit though, he drove a stellar race, especially when compared to Mark Webber.
Is the Red Bull the better car, or is Vettel the better driver? Its hard to tell when you have a mixed podium like that.
As for Hamilton/Massa, i'd have to agree with you to some degree, but that is a very quick corner, and Massa was already committed and aiming for the apex. Lewis did try to back out, but it was too late. I see no reason for Massa to be penalised.
Abu Dhabi next. Please feel free to bash Abu Dhabi. God I hate that track.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
I must say, he drove a good race. I don't know what it is, the car or driver. If its the car then why is Webber failing? If its the driver then how come he never got nowhere a couple years ago in the same team?
I won't be bashing Abu Dhabi because it's a gorgeous place and a real nice track!

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Abu Dhabi has yet to produce a good race. It's almost as bad as Valencia, the only thing that hides that fact to people is the twinkly lights and pretty hotel.
There's no real substance to it though.
Webber has been a huge disappointment this year. He has a championship contending car, suposedly equal machinery so where's his head at?
He's lost more places off the start than anyone else this year. I just don't get it.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Not that I've taken a keen interest since silverstone, but has Webber been questioned into his "#2 status" at the team this year? It was a major talking point before his own chances in 2010 were out of reach. This year its obviously been the year of the Index Finger, and I've not heard or read any concern into Aussie "Grit"s position as "second fiddle" I mean its blatantly obvious. But why should this year be any different?

Not a main plot point this year, the writers decided to make Lewis all depressed. It will all be revealed in Sao Paulo for the season finale.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
STR, the team of the damned.. Not too rubbish, but not good either, its drivers seem to go nowhere..
Plus, putting Raikkonen in the ''Junior'' Red Bull car doesn't really make any sense for Red Bull, don't they have a ''talent pool'' to sieve through?
If I was Raikkonen, I wouldn't have bloody left F1 in the first place, its like giving up a good spot on the couch at a busy house party, s'gonna be gone by the time you get back with your booze from the fridge.. If that analogy fits..
Williams may just turn out to be alright, they do show some promise with the Renault engines next year, but, then again... Williams always shows ''promise''..
Look at me, i'm a cynical b*stard, cheers Adrian!

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Williams has basically been the worst of the not new teams this year, I think Kimi would be nuts to get in one of their cars. Even when he was half-assing it in 2009, he was still one of the fastest guys out there. I don't know why he would want to come back in a slow car next season when last year he was even turning town Mercedes. If he's sick of rallying, go to Le Mans. He will be the best driver on the gird and he should have his pick of whatever car he wants if Peugeot haven't already locked him down.

+1 Nicky
Abu Dhabi would work in Turbo F1 cars not in Kers and DRS
Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
The Hungaroring of all places worked with the Turbo cars of the 80s, I'm not convinced that any of the modern turbos will.
I wont be proven wrong for a couple of years though...

http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/270946/rumours-strengthen-over-raikkonen-comeback/
Interesting. Apparently there's more truth to the Kimi rumor than I thought. I don't really see why Williams would would keep the mediocre Maldonado around for his money and then spend tons of cash paying Kimi.
Also I wonder if Ferrari wish they had kept Kimi around in place of Massa to partner up with Alonso?

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
I wouldn't say Maldonado was mediocre (there is no one faster..), he did impress in the first half of the season.
It's hard to make any stand out performances in a car like the Williams.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Well, i'm afraid we just have to wait and see if the Williams is any good first. Kimi should be quicker than Pastor, but as I say, we will have to see.
Plus, Williams are also talking to Adrian Sutil too apparently. With Massa staying at Ferrari for next year, there ain't many top to midfield seats going spare..
But, if Kimi gets back in the game now, then when an opportunity presents itself at one of the top three, Kimi is in the perfect position.

Rubens has had a better season, albeit also terrible. I just don't get the point in last year dumping Hulkenberg for a pay driver, then this season having an even worse year, and then turning around and hiring someone who is surely going to be one of the highest paid drivers on the grid. If they have the money for Kimi, then why don't they keep their current drivers and spend it on the car, or get rid of Maldonado and get someone more talented but cheaper then Kimi(ie. Sutil, Glock...).

Yes, but this year Williams have much more funding than they did last year. Kimi is bringing in a lot of middle eastern cashito
