Re: Results & Standings
Results for Round 1, Drivers, Teams and Privateer Championships all uploaded.
"Net Points" show as 0 at the moment due to the formula calculating them which requires the results from Round 2 to start working.

Re: Results & Standings
So we will be having a dropped round then?

Re: Results & Standings
The race results are calculated on over all race time like the LMS so if you are in C lobby you can still win etc, but i'm unsure of Areo has added the extra time on for being in lower lobbys?

Re: Results & Standings
that doesn't seem right even without the extra time being added for being in a lower lobby especially with a two second fastest lap difference! One thing i noticed from the replay though is that NickFTM3 dropped it at 3 minutes 27 seconds 7 seconds later than the other two lobby's which could be why

Re: Results & Standings
The added time was negligable, bearing in mind that 8th place for example (1st in lobby B) would cross the line only 1 sec at the most after 1st place at "rolling start"/race pace. I would expect that Johnnyboy's best lap time was a clean lap, and that he in fact was running faster times throughout the race.
I have watched the C lobby replay last night, and they ran a steady 60mph right up to the start line (didn't "GO" until the line).

Extra time added for being in a lower lobby? What's this about?

Re: Results & Standings
No time has been added, but there is a valid suggestion being discussed at the moment, that lower lobbies would essentially be behind the pack of cars that are the lobbies in front when starting, so therefore should have a small amount of time added.
Doing rolling starts in this way is new to TORA, so we are still using some discretion until we agree that things are working "as intended".
One way which has been suggested, is to give the lead driver of each driver, a target time for crossing the line to start the race.
This time could be slightly staggered (say +2secs per lobby below A lobby) to simulate being slightly further down the grid, without having to add time to the results at the end.

Cheers Aero... makes sense really, just this was the first I'd seen it mentioned anywhere so just wondered.

could you add the variance between qualifying laps in some way?
Re: Results & Standings
Could it be that the C lobby warmup lap was faster than everybody elses?

Re: Results & Standings
A lobby crossed the line at pretty m,uch exactly 3:20 which was apparently our aim. It might be a bit hoi or miss this season but I do like the idea behind it. Once we get used to how it works I think it will improve.

Could well be because we all got some speed elsewhere then slowed down at the last part so maybe

Re: Results & Standings
Don't worry Neo - rolling start issues have been resolved so didn't affect Round 2.
Re: Results & Standings
Because last nights race was the 2nd race of the championship, the first race happened a couple of weeks ago ,9th Jan to be infact
Re: Results & Standings
Isnt there a dropped round anyway? So missing 1 round doesnt really matter.
