Cheers guys please keep suggestions coming, 1 idea I have had for a while Dutch Super Car? no idea how we would work it into forza 3 but would be great any ideas are welcome
Re: Results & Standings
I preferred the way we did it a few seasons ago where we had an 8 lap race where ur fastest lap dictated where you went for the 25 lap race. That was my personal favourite season.

Re: Results & Standings
Yeah that was good, my only bone to pick with that was using the best racing lap as your qualifying lap. Trying to set a decent lap as well as battling for position was far too harsh, it meant a lot of people were happy to just drop to the back of the grid to set some decent laps. It would be a nightmare now with the flagged laps too.

Re: Results & Standings
Thats what I liked about it though. It adds some strategy to the way we race. Not once during that whole season tho did I ever do anything during the first race than race for position. Even if I was held up behind somebody I still wouldn't drop back and just go for laptimes. I'd like to think that everyone else operated in the same way too.

Re: Results & Standings
hey Troff yes Gt3 and GT4 together but my idea of Dutch Super Car would be having GT3,4 and britcar style cars faster hatchbacks etc but I will get a testing team together which will be all open and not behind closed doors.
But keep your ideas coming
But keep your ideas coming
Re: Results & Standings
Personally wouldn't like to see different classes in the GT series. It's always been one class per season and I think thats how it should stay.

Re: Results & Standings
We only had two lobbies in the last race, splitting that between classes wouldn't really work

Re: Results & Standings
About the 'sprint' race that set the grid for the 'Feature', I wouldn't mind seeing it come back, but the 2-race method like last year was pretty good too. Seeing I started here @ tora back in '09 and ran with both systems (3 now, with how the WinterGT ran), I kinda liked it all. I guess it wouldn't matter to me how the SummerGT is ran. I just want to race.

Re: Results & Standings
Main feedback I had from last year was that the reverse grid in the GTs didn't really work. Suits the TCC well but not the GT machinery.
I think the main point in all of this is that we're now in season 7 or 8 of the GTs and each one has been a success. Why change the winning formula? If it's not broke then don't try to fix it. Multiple classes just wouldn't work. Its the GT series not the LMS. Leave that to the LMS.
I reckon we should make the last series on FM3 open to a vote. I think we should have the last season as an exact replica of one of our past seasons. Same cars, same rules, and run it again and see if we get any different results. So lets say we put up a poll with season 1, season 2, season 3 etc and people vote for which season's rules we use for the new season.
How about that?

YES!
i thought there were too many cars to choose from.
if we could somehow bring the list down...say remove some cars or something.
i'd also like to see the PI go up...to like R3 715 or something like that...my build of the TVR used the stock transmission and a 550 horsepower turbo motor.
i'm sorry, but a stock transmission would blow up. we should be able to put all the race parts on the car, and the only way to do that is either bring the horsepower down and have mandated parts, or you bump up the PI.

Re: Results & Standings
Yeah a smaller car list would be easier to test thoroughly and less likely to spring any suprises once the seasons started. The hard works done already, and a seasons worth of data means it should be easier to work out which cars are too fast and too slow.
It was definitely better with two races, if someone shunts you off/you lag out at least it doesn't mean your whole night was wasted. I liked mandatory pitting coming back too; brings an element of tactics in and can liven up a dull race.
I don't know how we reverted back to timed quali halfway through this season too but its simply not fair to the people who are stuck at the back of the qualifying grid. It needs to be a set number of laps.

Re: Results & Standings
I know this is going to sound like me being a sadistic/mean sod...again!!!
How about keeping the same car list, but removing all cars that were used in the winter season. That way everyone has to re-test/re-pick their cars, but it also prevents the inevitable "car shuffle" of everyone just swapping amongst themselves/jumping for what was perceived to be the "best car" and seeing roughly the same overall car line-up???
