Re: Community thoughts
With regards to M&M we are only know well within TORA. We always sort of considered ourselves one of the 'big teams' of TORA but with the likes of EZT, VVV, PLOW and WWR we are small potatoes. Last year for the LMS I tried to expand the team to cover all four classes. It worked in a sense, but by the end of the season the team felt completely disjointed. I always liked the idea of having M&M as a big race team sort of like EZT and PLOW, but in reality it's never gonna happen. M&M is just a team that Ian and myself created as we are mates and were looking for a place to race. Like THR we started off doing pretty well and constantly fighting at the top of A lobby. Now we are getting to a point where we stuggle to keep ourselves in A lobby. I'm not fast but I have two fast team mates who keep the team going. I mainly enjoy doing all the painting and that was part of the reason I expanded the team so much last year was so I could paint all the different cars.
I never imagined people wanting to run with M&M just for the name so I have been surprised in the past when people have been more than happy to race with us. It would great if people wanted to run a team on their own but under M&M but I think in the likes of TORA a lot of people want to create their own teams and make their own paints. I think that is a major reason why you struggle to get people to join you Dan. If I had six drivers in the WGT series and three of them ran without either Ian or myself in the team then I can't see why they would want to keep running under M&M or with an M&M paint. I can imagine them deciding to re-paint the car for themselves and run under their own name. We also don't have the funds to buy the whole team their cars.
As M&M we tune our own cars. We help each other out but Duncan, Ian and myself have compltely different driving styles. I simply can't drive Ian's tunes and in turn he can't drive mines. But at times we can be just as fast as each other. Last year we were expected to create the tunes for all our drivers which we simply couldn't do as we aren't a dedicated tuning team. If we had a large team like EZT and we had members who would just race, or just make tunes or just paint then we could be in the same sort of league as the big guys but we don't. Not that I'm off the idea of trying it
With regards to money we have had a lot of help from PLOW. I sell some paints but I don't get much back from it. I used to sell cars on the AH and got up to around 10mil doing that but I stuggle doing that now. Last month I was struggling to buy cars to test for TORA series and Butcher stepped in and gave M&M a hand. We're good mates with the PLOW boys and they have been good to us over the years. Currently I'm sitting at around 10mil. I try to keep it at a constant level and still do the Carrer Enduros to keep the coffers up.

Re: Community thoughts
Example from my end. I had just under 20 million credits when I started here at the first of the year. I have entered the MSA, ISCC, NGTC, and now the stock hatch. I bought and somewhat tuned 3, 4, 3, and 8 cars for each respective series making 12 in all. This has cost me roughly 4 million credits considering all the parts/engine swaps that I've bought. I'm also in my offseason at my job (i work at a golf course) so I have quite a bit of time on my hands to tune and test. The paints are done by hellbringer except I unknowingly did the Rossion when there was already a finished paint for it. We've also gotten together on our final car and tuned it together trying to find what we hope is best. This is just me though, I can't speak for everyone but we all put in quite a bit of time.
Re: Community thoughts
There aren't really many guys on the team that just show up and race. We all work on different things--tuning and painting. We all share, too. Though, there are a few who are better than most. It is a team effort.
Re: Community thoughts
spent sometime on the porshe today,i will be passing that back to you tommorrow worm for some feedback,i did help gadge2010 do a little tuning on is nissan has well as he was late to enter the series. And i also give the jaguar 1961 a run as it was its 50th birthday today, all in all it all cost me nothing.

Re: Community thoughts
well for a privateer i have the budget of 305million, however, i am new to this online racing with tuning, so i suck at it, painting wise my art skills look like skidmarks, the baby on my car was designed for me by monkey 8 me, now regardless of paints etc i would rather race as part of a team than on my own but i am quite happy driving by myself, i mean i am driving for Garyp in the 4wd class which is cool, but regarding quali easiest thing is to just turn colisions off that way if someone messes up you aint wasted a complete lap.

Re: Community thoughts
I do have to laugh at everyone referring to my team (Aero Dynamics) as WWR. I receive absolutely zero support from any other WWR member.

Re: Community thoughts
@fluffy - You have 305million on your own?
@Chris - I don't think anyone was refering to Aero Dynamics as WWR. I was using them as an example of a Tuning Shop as I still have a few WWR people on my friends list and they still race online. I don't know the current status of their team but if they still have WWR in their name I still refer to them as the WWR team.

Last year 1st half yes, 2nd half onwards no. And this year - fat chance - he sold his wheel, seat and traded the game in!

Re: Community thoughts
How can you go from being one of the best racers on Forza to trading everything in with little to no connection? Unless something big happens I'd imagine.Chris wrote:Last year 1st half yes, 2nd half onwards no. And this year - fat chance - he sold his wheel, seat and traded the game in!

Re: Community thoughts
well, i have no attachment to the game i have traded the game/wheel and 360 in a couple of weeks ago but i am quite lucky that the wife lets me use her 360 for the racing, i now own a ps3 lol but that is because i refuse to pay for a service that has so many problems and all there worry about is kinect.

Re: Community thoughts
Yeah I remember Chris saying that Chillz has a kid now and he doesn't have time to race. Pitty. Not the fact he has a child; its great when someone has a son/daughter. Wish I did but I doubt it when you're a loner! lol But just thining about how sucessful he would have been if he was able to continue dominating the racing.
