Thought i'd revive this thread with a bit of a Question/debate.

At this weekends round of Formula Drift USA, Team Falken's Tyler McQuarie was seen to be using Active Areodynamics on his V8 350Z Coupe which he piloted to #1 Qualifier spot. It can be seen in action here: http://www.wreckedmagazine.com/blog/2011/07/22/top-qualifier-tyler-mcquarrie-running-active-aero-roof-snapshot/

Although it is perfectly legal i was wondering the communities opinion...

Should Active Areodynamics (movable Wings/body panels) be used in Drifting?

Answers in a comment please Very Happy

I don't really think aero should be used in drifting at all.

It makes no sense. Downforce is used to gain grip, why use it at all in drifting?
