Eizox Sport took their Lola-Mazda B09/86 out on track for the first time today at Mugello, ahead of a possible race entry at the weekend. Due to time constraints they only managed to get out on the track for around half an hour, with a few issues on set up at the start of the session due to the car being set up from the last test they did at Le Mans two weeks previously. The second half of the session was a lot more productive, times in the low 1:36's were the best the team could manage today, but the team feels with more set up work and more time practicing they could get into the low 1:35's or high 1:34's, although this wont be fast enough to compete for class pole the team hopes they can put up a good showing in the race.
