Re: Official Forza Motorsport 4 Thread
If they fully become a ''partner'' I want to see ALMS races incorporated into the Season play.
This is the way I envisage a good racing game with a good single player mode. The whole thing would be based around an annual ''season'' where you pencil in dates for testing and pick what races you wish to enter. Money would be a big factor, you would need to pay entry fees, buy equipment, hire staff, aswell as aquire cars to race in.
-You select the area of the world you want to be based.
-You start out as a one car operation, you are an owner/driver. Money limits the parts of the world you can travel to.
-As you start winning club races, you get free parts and sponsorship from different companies.
-You start hiring staff and new equipment for your growing team.
-As more race prizes and sponsor money comes in, you can start going to other parts of the world.
-As you progress, you could even be snapped up by a pro team, or continue building your own racing empire.
I've played a few games with features listed above before. One prominent game was Ratbag's WoO Sprintcar game, which was really really good.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 4 Thread
they had like 3 forza 3 consoles set up at petit a few times that i have gone there...along with a leaderboard set up, and if you did the fastest time in the R10 at road atlanta. you'd get a tour of the audi pits in the pit lane.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 4 Thread
V8SC had X360 sponsorship yes, I'm not sure it was as specific as FM3. As for ALMS, are you thinking of Risi which had a deal going with T10 as far back as FM2.

Money would be a big factor,
murphy is doing the andy lally challenge. basically comparing andy lally's money earnings in nascar to the entire ALMS field.
The Andy Lally Challenge
With so little going on in the American Le Mans Series, Murphy has had limited opportunity to bring his readers up to date on the Andy Lally Challenge.
First, the Bear announces that Andy has won NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year. No contest, wrapped it up. Way to go, Andy!
Murphy last updated the Challenge after Dover, where Andy’s purse brought his season’s total winnings to $1,020,811. Murphy figures the American Le Mans field won $126,000 at Lime Rock, bringing the season total to $1,046,000, including his estimate of the privateer bonuses to be calculated and paid at the end of the season. (Teams that have been classified as “factory,” or “factory supported” are not paid purse money. The next privateer(s) does/do not “move up.)
Andy’s first big set-back was at Charlotte, where he failed to qualify for the Coca Cola 600. Since then, however, he collected finishes of 31st at Kansas, 32nd at Pocono, 36th at Michigan, 35th at Infineon, 27th at the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona, 32nd at Kentucky and 28th at New Hampshire. Andy’s winnings over those seven events were $588,070, bringing his season’s total to $1,608,881.

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 4 Thread
also, i read an interesting blurb on the ALMS website.
"Tune in! Catch the racing action live by tuning in to all of the American Le Mans Series race broadcasts via ESPN3 on Xbox LIVE "
ahhhhh now i see.
they need people to watch more of their online streaming races on the xbox.

Channel 7 had a ''Forza Motorsports 3 Race Recap'' at Bathurst last year every so often.

The thing is though, you already get ESPN3 on XBL, but ESPN3 is an American service. So will we European's get to stream the races too?

True, but if you could somehow watch the races while on Forza, or have ALMS video content, wether it be live, or clips, the ALMS' viewing numbers would increase by quite a bit!

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 4 Thread
So basically we saw a stock paint in the game for a current car...and a bunch of other cars that we knew would be in the game as they are in FM3. Great.
Re: Official Forza Motorsport 4 Thread
not much of a surprise there T10. only real add was the Muscle Milk Lola Aston, but we already got a Lola Aston in Fm3

Re: Official Forza Motorsport 4 Thread
2:57 you can see an Oreca Matmut car, not sure if it's the Pug or not though, or if it's the already mentioned LMPC car. Maybe LMP2. I don't know my prototypes.
EDIT
I just saw you guys talking about it in the Race Car Thread
At least it will have the new front end as well, I was kinda wondering how they would get the new car in without using the official cars, seeing as they are covered in Playstation logos

Ermm.....
Source : http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/118/1188084p1.html
"Indeed, including Hockenheim in the game was almost like a personal ambition for Greenawalt because it was a circuit he had loved watching Formula 1 cars race around as a kid. It's this love for motorsport that has meant that not only is Hockenheim in the game, but it's playable at any time of the day. While it may not sound that impressive, driving around the Nordkurve at sunrise is a very different experience from racing in the middle of the night. Choose the latter and visibility is obviously impacted dramatically, the dazzling glare of brake lights preventing you from having a clear view of the track when you're sandwiched in the middle of a pack of cars all vying for pole position. In stark contrast there's almost an air of calm when tackling the same race at dawn as the sun blinks over the horizon. "
I must be dreaming.
I don't believe it.
Really?
Nah, surely not.
I'm still sceptical....
