yeah, they emailed me the code earlier today, but no "its been shipped" email.... i dont think ive ever gotten a game on its release date from them if i pre-ordered it. i think an email to them is in order

i remember something similar happened in Fm3 with one of the aftermarket bumpers for the 3rd-gen miata. the only way to catch it was in-game (not replay either). if you hit the brakes, the fog lights turned light up Red. Laughing

I wouldn't get so edgy at thi time in the morning, mines didn't ship until 18:50 last night. Oh, and reading through the email:

If your payment has been successful you will receive an email letting you know that your order
is on its way. It will not reach you early, this just means its being held ready for delivery on launch day.

I still expect to get it Thursday at the earliest.

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone in the UK will get their's before Thursday earliest. It may simply be an email that is dispatched upon receipt of the stock at the warehouse so that people are aware it's on its way. Or, more likely, an error. All games retailers are bound by the publisher to respect release dates, be it online or high-street.

When I worked for Game (and Electronics Boutique before that) I checked all my local competitors in the lead-up to a title's launch to see if anyone was breaking it. Usually, the big high-street names wouldn't sell it until launch day, but the small independants always sold early under the counter, and if we caught them and got proof, we would report it to our head-office, who would then authorise us to go early and report them to the publisher. The publisher would then either restrict stock to that retailer, fine them under the terms of their agreement, or not deliver stock of future releases until after the launch date, meaning that day one sales would be lost.

The only time online retailers post early is when there is disruption to the postal service, and as we have no current issues, I'd not expect anything before Thursday, and even then that would be lucky.

I dunno, I buy a lot from Game online and I always tend to get the game on the Thursday, same with Amazon. They send out the exact same email for every large release, and I've had the same one for Deus Ex, Gears 3 and Resistance 3, and all of them have arrived on the Thursday. I'm not expecting to get it any earlier than that especially as we don't have the Postal strike this time around. Some of us (Chris) got the game 10 days early Razz

I got my email @ 12:30am that it shipped... and the tracking info on amazon says october 10th.... probably a typo, but I signed up for text tracking. And I'll go pick up my LCE later today

Just been informed by Game that my order is been packed ans should be shipped later today or tomorrow, they advised all LCE and forza 4 pre-orders will be dispatched Wednesday so they arrive Friday.

At my university, mailed in packages aren't available for pick-up until 4:00 so I have to wait until then to start playing.

It's these sort of circumstances that monetary compensation is a given. If your faithfully putting orders into a business with certain expectations which for everyone else was fulfilled but due to an error on games part wasn't for yourself, and isn't fulfilled your out of pocket. For me a regular LCE or a standard with Microsoft credits isn't enough.

If you don't get the cars from the first production run, I would demand a LCE copy, and a part refund.

Well Game online broke my order, they have had my order on hold ........ why because some silent

didnt know how to enter a email address on the end of a phone, luckly my local game 10 min up the road had LCE avilable to collect Friday, I have now got a collection defo for the LCE on Friday Smile

plus a online order, which ever comes 1st I will have Forza 4 LCE on Friday

Recieved my email reciept from ShopTo, and the order now says processing on the site, so hopefully it'll be posted out tomorrow for Thursday... and Debbie is out all Thursday night! Perfect!
