Re: Killer dynamic weather
AMR Garage wrote:Even if it IS present in the next edition, we'd have to either switch it off completely, or stick to one weather type, imagine multiple lobbies with "random" or "dynamic" weather in each, one lobby would probably have rain starting to fall say halfway through the race while the second lobby down would remain dry, it would wreak havoc with the live timing and some drivers and teams would no doubt kick off about it...

good point, i didnt even think about that.

Re: Killer dynamic weather
well, if it is this way for FM5 I have a simple solution:
Ex. 24hrs of LM:
have all the lobby hosts in a party chat. Someone (TORA staff) rolls a die. (1=dry, 2=clouds, 3= lt rain, 4= rain, 5= hvy rain, 6=dry). whatever number the die lands on is the weather conditions for the whole race stint across all lobbies. Repeat for all stints. Then lobby hosts set the lobby settings without telling the drivers and off they go.
Also have a preset schedule for night or day depending on the stint.
it really is plain and simple.

Would be actually quite good as your previous stint could be dry then you go into the next one and its heavy rain and your on slicks for the start. What a mix up that could create!
