Autosport 6 hours of Silverstone 11/9/11

Is anyone else planning to go to this?

Steph's doing both days and I'll be spectating on the Sunday.

I'll have to look out for you there matt! was meant to be going with a mate, but he's pulled out, so the girlfriend is being encouraged that she wants to go... when i started going out with her (january) 'motorsport was boring' but after taking her to see the BTCC at Thruxton she's watched every F1 race, and records all the practice sessions to watch in the evening so Sportscar Racing is the next step!

I'm there Sunday expect chris, simon and others to be there :-) cant wait will organise TORA meet and drive to event Sunday Oxford services any 1?

is that the M40 services? to the south of oxford where the A40 leaves for oxfordish?
if so thats on route for me as a place to meet!

The other good place to meet which is a little closer is Brackley Tescos. It's right opposite Mercedes GP, just off the bypass roundabout.

Just a thought. I'll post up where I am on the Saturday but will be all over the place on Sun. Plan to make the most of my access pass

ok, i take it back the fiesta died in Worthing today, on the A27, when i got distracted, and drove it into the side of a volvo 740..... at a set of lights (no injuries for either party fortunately)

I will be there sunday from 10.30, will be on pit straight for start then walk round to hanger straight, as well going from past experince watching the lola aston martin overtake 5 slower gt cars while they are battling for gt2 was epic (2009) and this year audi and pgt ant davidson said this week on midweek he will hopefully race

If he's not I'll be sure to catch up with him on Sunday at some stage when I have an investigate in the Wing

I'll probably be there around 9ish, in 09 I spent most of the time round the back end of the circuit, and seeing the pescarolo slice through the field after starting last was epic, then was rather confused when it disapeared! Til I got round near the pits and saw it sat in the garage! Not sure where to go this year, was wondering where the beat place to be at the start was lol

Next weekend we have a 6 hour ALMS race at Laguna Seca. Wish I could go it would be awesome. Oh I made it to the IndyCar race at Sonoma that's good enough for my racing year. Next year I'll do more events!!

I'm really not sure i'd want to go to Silverstone. If i'm gonna do all that travelling down south, I may as well go to Spa.

The ALMS need more LMPs so badly. The prototypes working through the traffic looks amazing.

No, but I'm hoping that the entire race replay will be up on DailyMotion.

Amazing Day what a race, Walked all around the circuit Magots Becketts watching closing speeds of P1 and GT was like somthing else.

R18 was like a stealth tie fighter and so quite PGT roared but the LOLA Rebilon stole the show the sound of that Toyota V8 was amazing
