One of the unsung heroes of the Group A era, the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86.

Using Forza 3 i've managed to build something that feels like (or how I imagine it would feel like) the car from the late 80's that raced all over the world in the British, Australian and European touring car championships. This FM3 rendition has the same power output as the real thing, roughly 250hp, it also weighs about the same, hitting the scales and roughly 1,900 lbs, which makes this car very potent; it can reach speeds of 160+ mph. Added to that is cut slick sport tyres, which provide a similar amount of grip to the slick racing tyres of the day. All this put together makes for one fun car. Seriously, i've been driving it around on my own for fun tonight!

This would either be a one nighter or a two part event run on two different weeks. There are only two tracks I want to run these on: Nurburgring Nordshleife and Le Mans (pas chicane), these are the only tracks that let these cars stretch their legs and four wheel drift through the fast corners. Its basically awesome fun.

I'll put the build on my storefront tomorrow for free for those who are interested.

So, go and build the car up, drive it around for some fun and let me know what you think!

From a clip of the 1989 BTCC one of the D Class cars, a Toyota Corolla had just put up a fastest lap in its class averaging 99mph, around thruxton...

I have a feeling that you do nothing whatsoever to the engine, or the tyre width, maybe not even the bodywork, but brakes, suspention, drivetrain is carte blanche.
