TORA MSA Formula 500 - Rules and Discussion

The TORA Formula 500 starts Thursday, the 3rd of November.



The Formula 500 is designed to take two of the most intense forms or racing and combine them to create one exhilarating championship. Cars from both the Japanese SuperGT Championship and the German DTM will race one another around some of the most famous Asian and German circuits.

Tuning will be allowed.

Damage will be set to Limited due to the nature of the racing.

There are no mandatory logos/stickers required, but you must run under your TORA Race Number and the website url is preferred along the top of the front window.

Auto-brake, Stabilty Control and ABS are banned.

Traction Control, Normal/Simulation Steering and Race Line are allowed and the choice is yours.

Points will only be scored by drivers, no teams involved, and the entry to the series will be relaxed. Points will be scored as per TORA standard.

To enter, simple post in the Entry Thread that you wish to take part in the series. We will then endevour to keep the list of names up to date and to send out invites to everybody who is on that list come race night.

There will be a qualifying session before the first race which will determine your starting position in Race 1. Race 2's starting order will be set in the finishing positions from Race 1. Qualifying will be a 3 flying laps, plus a warm up and cool down lap. Clean laps will NOT take preference over dirty laps, due to the nature of the cars and the fact that we are still learning the game.

There will be two races in a night, around 20 Minutes in length. We will be using medium-long circuits due to the nature of the cars. The calander is as follows:

Hockenheim Full - 17th November 2011 - 8pm



Suzuka Full - 24th November 2011 - 8pm

I have updated nickys car post with Mercedes, and altered PI's. Three of them were 89x but should be 85x.

Sorry about the lack of cars, I was at the end of my tea break and had to rush to get it done.

I will update the OP with the relevant cars and PIs, but I still require the same thing for the Supra, R34, Hyundai, Opel and TT.

One quick question - why stock tyres on the Opel/TT? I ran with full width on the Opel a couple of nights ago and set the same lap time as Simon in the Merc (which had full width too). The power and weight are about the same too.

I think the part of details required means it's not known yet.

The Opel needs wide tyres as even with, its only PI 850

Does it matter what number Audi it is?

@Chris - Simon is right, I need the details of the TT, Opel, Supra and R34 so I can post them. I don't have any of the cars, so it would be very much appreciated if we can help each other and get the correct details for next week.

Thanks Richy! I figured they were all the same really. About 1,200,000 to buy out, 450k on AH, all parts free due to Audi Affinity Level 9! Paint sorted! Just about to post it!
