Apex Autosport Unveiled
Successful Businessman to Start International Race Team
Indianapolis, IN, USA - November 10, 2011
Zach Casto, most notable for his role in reviving numerous Fortune 500 companies and co-founding another, has turned his focus to a start-up, one of his own creation, enter Apex Autosport. With a singular goal of eventually winning a world title, Zach has built an operation to rival some of the most established in all of motorsports. The team will maintain a unique Anglo-American duality by simultaneously conducting racing operations from both the US (Indianapolis) and UK (Leeds). Primary support will come by way of ultra-premium vodka producer Skyy (San Francisco, California), and high-end clothier Emporio Armani (Pedrosa, Italy).
2012 will be Apex’s first season in the global motorsports arena, and quite an ambitious attack it seems, with their first race meeting this weekend (Sunday, November 13) in Hockenheim, Germany for round 1 of the TORA GT24 winter-series. TORA GT24 is a 5 race winter series that spans the globe, and culminates with the TORA Nurburgring 24, an event of truly epic proportion! For the proper start of the 2012 motorsports calendar, Apex Autosport will shift to the TORA International SportsCar Championship (ISCC). With a single entry into the pro-am LMPC category, the goal is to compete for victory week-in and week-out, with the ultimate goal being the ISCC crown.
Beyond Apex Autosport, Casto is the founder and CEO of VIC, a leading global technical innovation firm, which affords Apex Autosport with a very sensible budget, one that he hopes will aid his team’s ascent to the top. “Everyone here at Apex Autosport understands we have a very tough mountain to climb, but you never know what you’re made of until you test yourself against the best”.
