Re: TORA GT24 - Times
Mclaren not doing too well. After doing quite a few laps and actually trying to tune the thing i am barley making it into the mid 57s.(on a good run)
To compare , jumped back into the merc and ran a mid 56 with a low 56 easily on the cards. And that was within half a dozen laps.

Re: TORA GT24 - Times
Not sure which tune Duncan used last night, but he got a 1.55.7 in the Mc.
Jag was 700? Oh. Time for a revisit tonight then.

Re: TORA GT24 - Times
After 9 different rebuilds of the Wisemann each time from the ground up and many many frustratong 1:57' & 56's suddenly a 1:55 appear!!! A few tweaks to the build and retests with tuning tweaks for about 3 hours I've ended up doing a 1:54.645 hanging on for dear life!!! Not sure I'll ever be able to do that time again. This is defo not the quickest car out there but looks lovely.

Re: TORA GT24 - Times
Duncan, maybe we can assist Spartan in the mc...
Just thought, maybe (if they want) take them as a customer for the last round! If it helps course.

Re: TORA GT24 - Times
Pssht. Having no luck compared to you guys. Any tips on tuning? I've pretty much got the car turning in as I want it, but there's no speed there.
The 458 has enough power on the straights, so it must be the rest of the tune up. I've tried so hard, but I can only get into high 1:57s!! Very depressing knowing I can't at least get into the realms of you lot in low/mid 55s.
At this pace I'll be chairman of the Gentleman's Racing Club ahaha!
EDIT: I have realised I'm laden with bucket loads of understeer after watching Magictap's vid.

Re: TORA GT24 - Times
A buddy of mine SNR Andy did a 54.7 in my jag and he recons if it dropped down to 680 it would lose a little power and be less tail happy and he wouldn't lose that much time.Simon wrote:Not sure which tune Duncan used last night, but he got a 1.55.7 in the Mc.

I will have a go at building and tuning a 458 for you.
You are a gentleman. I can gift you the base car!
Re: TORA GT24 - Times
at the same time though, the car would be made irrelavent on speed tracks.

Re: TORA GT24 - Times
Yea, I'd say the Jag at 680 brings it down to Wiesmann level. Good job we have a few "grip" tracks for 2012 on the calendar
