Can someone clarify for me what exactly the point is in having mandatory stops? My tires never went beyond 13% wear, and I never went below 1/2 fuel, and I was the last one to make my second stop by a long way.

I managed to get out of the way of a few LMPs with each of my stops, but other than that, they play absolutely no strategy role whatsoever

i think its basically because of Turn10 dropping the ball on tire & Fuel wear, that pit stops have to be 'mandatory' this time around rather than them being a nessecity

There needs to be a bodywork damage repair patch PRONTO. Crashing 1 lap into a 1.5 hour event and having to abandon it completely is not endurance racing...

Because otherwise you can go to the end without pitting.

What's the problem with that? Its not like pit stops actually mix up the action because everyone has to make the same number of stops anyway.

It can add strategy. I passed GLRMikem due to pit strategy. Could not keep up with him on track otherwise. To me that gives an advantage or take away an advantage due to needing 2 stops.

I like the pit stops it works well if your stuck behind someone

Yeah, I was stuck behind you twice and both times I pitted you pitted a lap later so it was pointless for me. It just let me have warmer tyres when you came out of the pits for a lap.
