TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion

G'day mate, welcome to the TCR Ute Pro Cup!

This is the first of the new "Pro Cup" spec series, which will feature single make/models with a set HP/Weight and otherwise much fewer build requirements than a traditional Spec Cup.

The vehicle of choice: 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS.

A great car that sees very little action in sanctioned online race leagues, built to 499 HP and 3101 Lbs, should provide some close racing and unique challenges.

The schedule will feature three distinct race formats, all based on the Australian V8 Supercars race series:

Triple Sprints: three short sprint races of 15-20 minutes in length, no pit stops required.
Duals: a pair of 25-30 minute races, each requiring a mandatory pit stop
Enduro: a single race of approximately one hour in length

This looks very interesting it should be a interesting series.

Testing went beyond well, fun to drive around the tracks, way more fun to race with.

Adelaide, Mount Panorama, and Surfers Paradise for sure. Love those tracks.

^ I'd be happy if we still had NYC, as the layout was close enough to Gold Coast to take its place on the schedule.

I've drove these things and they're so fun, so incredibly fun to drive! Roll on the start of the season!

I've got a slightly adjusted version f the actual V8SC Utes points system for this. As soon as I can get Google docs to work proper, I will get it posted.

My V8SC Series ran a Modified V8SC Points System itself. Great minds think alike aye Mikey

This whole series is all your fault!   

If not for your domination of the Firecracker, I never would have come up with this Spec Formula... so you had better join us for this series buddy!   

Dude the camino I had was an absolute animal and hopefully it fits the spec for this race

^ That Camino is a bit beyond the series, as it was 600PI and God knows what HP, whereas the spec for this is 545PI and 499HP.

I've got a few little details to ponder and sort out, but expect the rules to be posted soon. Things like grid orders, drop rounds or not, team points or not... little stuff.
