Flyin Mikey J wrote:^ That Camino is a bit beyond the series, as it was 600PI and God knows what HP, whereas the spec for this is 545PI and 499HP.
My one was like 600-700bhp but man it was quick, just wish I could drive it again

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion
Whilst pondering please make the points consistant over the season, please no 'double points last round' or it negates working hard to win races all season. Don't make me shove a Camino up your ar$e.
Oh....and......I'm IN.
Ps, weather with these things may not go well, (does a Camino even have wipers?)

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion
NOTE, PI has been reduced to 535
Reason for this is at the previous PI, 545, it seems that everything was maxxed out.

Points will be more consistent, based on the V8SC system, with 180 points up for grabs each round. The "triple sprints" will see 60 points to the winner of each Sprint, the "doubles" will see 90 per, and the finale "Enduro" will have 180 for the win. So, there will be consistent points, even if the schedule is anything but.
These are rather fair weather machines, so I don't think we'll be racing in anything more than perhaps partly cloudy.

That's fine by me, my car was 534 anyway

One last detail: Team Points
I was thinking of skipping team points this time around just to make things a bit more simple.
However, if enough people post loud enough moans, I guess I will have to add them.

He wasn't at all cheating. I had it at 545PI Max, but after seeing how fast he was, I chose to level the playing field by setting it at a locked 535,. Just glad I noticed this two weeks before the series rather than two weeks into it.

I think I can gain the Pi without losing any speed anyway

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion
It took me a while, but I've gotten up to pace with the new build. Balancing driveability and speed for LeMans will be a huge challenge... as well it should be.
Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion
I have now come up with an idea for team points... the to finishers will still earn team points, but rather than a team of two or three, it will be based on your actual FM4 team affiliation, [HCR], [Ax4x], [XPR], [BenR], [Whatever Tubbi has], Bratley, etc...
I know it may seem to penalize independents, but I am thinking that it will encourage team rivalry.
Expect full rules and registration by the end of the weekend.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion
Thanks guy for an excellent evening racing. Really enjoyed it! Some startup issues, but well solved!
Forgot to save the replay but the pitstop in the second race should look really weird as the cars of Mad Dog and myself were overlapping coming in and going out of the pits. Glad neither of us got any damage on pit exit.
Had to push as hard as I could to keep Paul at a distance in the second race. My second to last lap was going to be my quickest clean lap, but got dirtied at the last corner as Paul managed to get into my slipstream..
These cas are a blast to drive! Good grip and a very controllable slide if you hit the throttle a little too enthusiastic on corner exit. Love them!

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion
I think the races went off great after we got everyone in the lobby. A bit of a small field, but seems we all had someone to battle with most of the time.
I don't quite know how to explain what my controller is doing, but I can tell you its a bit frustrating for the car to suddenly take off in the opposite direction that I am steering it... and its time for a new controller I guess.

Re: TCR Ute Pro Cup General Discussion
I was pushing really hard for those last 5 laps trying to close the gap but you were too far ahead and didn't make a mistake (unlike me in the 1st race as I messed up the corkscrew and nearly let S1lentRaven past on the last lap).JRacer NL wrote: Had to push as hard as I could to keep Paul at a distance in the second race. Both races were great fun and the cars are great to drive, roll on Mugello!!
