I think I'll just go to the pub or the student union for the races now.. Which isn't an entirely bad thing..

the F1 channel starts on Friday at 8pm with a preview of the 2012 season.

The clips on F1HD at the momentare really good its got a 2012 williams being built, footage of 1967 with jim clack, bits on Mclaren, interview with Emerson Fittipaldi + clips of cars on track and behind the scenes.

It looks like Sky will put alot of effort into it cant wait!

I managed to watch the practice last night.

Obviously Sky have invested quite a bit of their budget on Georgie Thompson's forehead polish. It's almost reflecting my own face looking at the screen.

SKY F1 - Free Practice 3 - 2:45am (Green at 3am)
SKY F1 - Qualifying - 5am (Q1 Green at 6am)
BBC 2 - Qualifying - 1pm
Sunday
SKY F1 - Race - 6am
BBC 1 - Race - 2pm

Holy crap. Is Georgie Thompson the shortest person in the world? She had heels on and she was still shorter than Ant.

Anyone noticed how awkwardly Georgie Thompson and Lumsden Bumhats (TK) look at each other while on screen?

Not as bad as when Ben Edwards and VBH did the ITV BTCC presenting though.

Anyone seen the new BBC F1 intro? They are using actual footage of cars this time, it's brilliant!

Been watching the Classic F1 from Oz on the BBC. Adelaide was such a fantastic circuit.

Adelaide is a fantastic circuit.

The organisers of the Clipsal 500 want to run a night race there, and with Bernie pushing for night running in Melbourne, Adelaide may well be hinting ever so slightly...

BBC's 2012 intro for those who have not seen.

That is much better.

Watching a few of the build up promos and such and it really does look like the BBC has really stepped up their game again in 2012. Sky may have more depth, but I'm sure BBC has more personality. I'll be split with what to watch when they are live on both channels.

Notice how the Beeb have been very quiet about their coverage this year, and they've come out with something quality (so far at least from what I see in Inside F1) with a good line-up. Gary Anderson is a good addition to the team, as is Ben Edwards.

No more Brundle or Lumsden Bumhats (Bangin' tunes, bangin' analysis), which means that for the first time on the BBC (TV at least) there is nobody from the old ITV F1 team.

Hopefully they get EJ to do the gridwalks, simply so that he bumps into Brundle every now and then

If that Merc stays legal they'll have that advantage for a good few rounds.

Rosberg would of been on Pole i reckon, without his lock up. Raikkonen will be quick can see him starting on hards and doing a long 1st stint, think he's got 2 new sets of softs.

ma dad complained about the beeb's coverage and I find the Sky news presenter abit dull to be honest, but guess he is new to it - I'll give it a few races till I choose.
