Welcome to the TORA RoC
It is coming to the time of the year again before we start all over again it’s the TORA Race Of Champions 2012.
This is where I hog the lime light at the start of the year to give it to one of our Champions or Race Winner. 15 Drivers will start and 1 will be Crowned TORA Race Of Champion 2011.
ATR Dan has taken the title for the past 2 years, will he be able to take the third.
This years event will take place on Saturday 7th January and will start at 20:00 GMT, as all the drivers are champions and should be able to show there full skill’s TCS will be off, STM will be off, ABS will be off, simulation steering is the only choice, transmission is open, race lines will be off, cockpit view locked.
Last year the track and cars were hidden till nearer the event time but this year I will announce them right away.
The Track
To Be Updated
The Cars
Will be annouced Wednesday 21st December

Yes you can read
First round will be a qualifying round (14 Drivers) the 15th driver will be Dan who will automatically qualify as he has won the last 2 years.
The table will be released nearer the time.

Hopefully it will get better each time its ran and I outdo myself from last year

Simple, just like last year if you have won an Official TORA championship or won an official TORA championship race outright then you would be able to put your name down for it, the list is currently longer then 15 people so it will be the highest ones first.

Re: Welcome to the TORA RoC
I think its better to keep the cars secret, just so nobody gets a "testing" advantage for those who cant test.

I was very too keeping hidden and keeping agaisnt hidden. So I thought long term, The real roc keeps the cars they have the same and just replace one like they did this year, so I thought could keep the cars the same unless one does not work then could change for the following year.
I do understand what your saying but the cars will also be upgraded and thats the info I am not letting out, so example you could go testing that B class car but on the night it will be S or R3 class car.

Hopefully you wont get any connection issues this time
Re: Welcome to the TORA RoC
You could always put the cars in the club garage the night of the event. That way you won't disadvantage people who can't tune as well as others.
Also, you should consider making simulation steering mandatory along with everything else.

Re: Welcome to the TORA RoC
All simulation steering does is smoke up the front wheels. I don't see why people with pads insist on using it, you need that dampening on a pad. They do that in every single game, yet when people heard that Forza had built in steering aids for the pad, people were outraged! But the thing is, you need it on the pad!

Some people (like myself) are not part of the TORA car club. You wont be tuning them yourself they will be pre tuned, also when I said simulation steering will be the only choice, that means it is mandatory.

I am putting it in as TORA will be locking to Sim Steering for next year

Re: Welcome to the TORA RoC
It will have to be locked on either one i dont want one running and another not running
Re: Welcome to the TORA RoC
Hang on... But TCS and racing lines have always been an option.. what makes Sim steering so different? Surely it's down to personal preference?

Re: Welcome to the TORA RoC
The problem with that is that there aren't enough nations, or the fact that England dominates the forums in numbers.
We could split each country up into different areas that could be represented, i.e, a team from the Midlands/South Wales (England/Wales), a team from Strathclyde and Ayrshire (Scotland), a team from The Southern States (USA), a team from the English North, and so on.
