Go Karting

Hi All

I am planning on going go karting for my 30th birthday in august and looking at going to Thruxton for it.

and one from TORA is welcome to the event.

I am going to be doing the grand prix race

If I don't go through with my plan to go to the mid Ohio and road America rounds of the ALMS I'm up for it

@ Chucky 1982: If I am free on that date, then I might be able to watch and maybe take some photos. However I still would of preferred to see some members go to Thruxton for either the BTCC or maybe the international truck racing.

But no matter, what happens I will try to attend.

I go to the btcc meeting every year pebb!

Karting Format

Grand Prix – duration 2.5 – 3 hours – trophies to top 3

Arrive sign on
Suit fitting
Briefing
Helmets and gloves etc
8 minute practice
2 x 8 lap heats
12 lap final

£82.00 weekend inc VAT
(deposits (£40) paid by Sunday 1st April)

Would need minimum of 13 - 15 for part exclusivity (30 for full exclusivity)





Thunderkarts
13bhp, 390cc, race chassis karts
The Thunderkart from Biz is combined with the 390cc Honda Thunder engine, a lighter kart with a more sensitive and progressive response to driver input, particularly at speed. In comparison to the more commonly found rental/corporate chassis, the race chassis ultimately gives a much more rewarding karting experience. The engine is big on torque ultimately propelling the kart to speeds in excess of 55mph which is achievable on the kart circuit.

• For drivers 15+ years old
• Minimum height: 5ft (1.52m)
