I am sure that running 12 consecutive 2 hour stints for the 24 hours of Le Mans would be quite an accomplishment. Even the 6 consecutive 2 hour stints for Sebring and Silverstone would be amazing feats. But, I am going to guess that we are going to have to have a team for this.

Re: Welcome to the TEC
It will be teams of up to four drivers, like we have done previously. I am not going to enforce a rule that people have to run in a team as some people may just feel like doing a few stints, but I would highly advise against it.
Re: Welcome to the TEC
As a thought, could we have a team of 3 for Sebring, Silverstone, and Nurburg and then pick up a 4th driver just for Le Mans?

Re: Welcome to the TEC
Sure, I think as long as the mximum is four then that woudl be good. I would maybe consider putting the limit up to 5 for Le Mans.

Re: Welcome to the TEC
I may just do 1 12 hour race. Just to see if I can. Unless there's 1 more than the lobby allows. So it won't split into 2. Although thongs could change in a few months so who knows?

Re: Welcome to the TEC
I'm actually just writing out the Sebring details just now, should be finished up soon.
Re: Welcome to the TEC
TORA 12 Hours of Sebring Rules, Regs, Qualifying procedure and Car List is up for viewing. Threads are locked just now as entry does not open until the 10th of February.
Re: Welcome to the TEC
I cannot wait for this.
I checked through all of the thread and everything looks good. Except for the fact that I already know that I will not be able to make any of the qualifying sessions. I am in the MST/MDT time zone and I work till 5pm from monday to friday. By my checking, that means I do not get off work till 11pm GMT.

Re: Welcome to the TEC
This is going to be epic.
I'll definitely enter, but I don't know what class to enter in with... it'll definitely be a LMP.

Re: Welcome to the TEC
Oz is right, only your team needs to qualify. As I said, if there any major timezone conflicts we can run some extra sessions to accomodate.
Re: Welcome to the TEC
Well the team I'm in has the whole world covered, haha, we've got an Australian, Canadian, American and (if he does join), a Brit, so we've got the whole world covered lol
Re: Welcome to the TEC
So, is the Nurburgring race 8h or 24h? Depending on the thread you look at, you get different answers. Also, will it take place on the GP circuit or the Nordschleife? Thanks.

Re: Welcome to the TEC
It's 24 Laps, and it will be around the Nordschleife. So it'll be around 3 hours long. What thread is still showing it as 8 hours long?
EDIT - Found it and changed it.
Oh, and remember that the car list changes for every event so I would advise against planning ahead for it already.

Yeah, I found out the hard way that the car list changes with each event. At least now its in the description so others can avoid the same mistake.
And, 24 laps? So it won't be a team event? Odd. Well, thanks for the info and the quick reply.

Re: Welcome to the TEC
Originally it was going to be a team event over the 8 hours, but unfortunately some of the organizers didn't want that and wanted to have one big field. Details will be announced for the N24 after Silverstone.

Re: Welcome to the TEC
Hey guys, just wondering, I was watching the last stint from the race because I was asleep at the time and you talked about starting the race at 8pm BST your time for next year? I was wondering if it would be possible to do that for if not Silverstone being the bigger race out of the two left, but the Nurburgring? I ask this because if it starts at 2 pm GMT as it currently is, that is midnight my time and I will not be able to race along with STATIC TREMOR. So I was asking if it would be possible to start that at 8 pm GMT as that covers almost all basis, cheers guys
Re: Welcome to the TEC
If we do a 12 hour race starting at 8pm UK then it means that all we can do s the night racing. If it was 24 hours we woul have a full day and night to cover. It's difficult to do with time zones, but we need to make it not only suit the most amount of people but actually give us the chance to run it well and get involved ourselves.
Re: Welcome to the TEC
No, not Silverstone, I thought that but then realized what u just said, what about N24? Or even 7 pm GMT? Because that would cover the us (if I'm correct), uk as it doesn't start or finish too late and it will then start at 5 am my time which I'd be fine with which was my stint for Le mans anyway. If not that's ok, that's up to you guys, but it'd be great if you could as I would be able to race as well other wise it starts midnight. Either way, I'm all good
Cheers guys
