Yep, but they'll be broadcasting what NBC Sports has on over there, silly broadcasting rights.

Actually, this game is an ESPN game. I don't know about others you get, though.

We get two ESPN channels. ESPN - which is a UK version, and ESPN America, which is your ESPN.

Tut tut, that's a bit bad form there. I always think that if England can't win I'd want one of the home nations to win instead.

Re: Sport!
Man, what a tough way to lose a game. I think deep down, some part of me wanted England to win, but the sheer horrible bias excreted from the mouths of the commentators and the pundits justifies my dislike for the English national team. As soon as the game finished, the commentators said that it was England's failure, not Italy's success. We're a miserable negative bunch, us brits, aren't we.
Perhaps I'm just a petty, bitter Scot, but well done to Italy, they played the better game. And as for England, it's a tough defeat, but they weren't playing as well as they were earlier on in the tournament.
Ballotelli's an absolute eejit though.

Not exactly, half the stuff on ESPN America is from the ESPN channels, 1,2,3,Deportes, and U(niversity). There are also recent broadcasts from other networks, IE the SPEED TV coverage of the Daytona Prototypes ends up on there...
...Its a silly thing about UK Broadcasting rights, some other channels end up with Other ESPN Related things, Watching Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption, anything UK Based gets cut out of the live broadcast! (Dont ask me how they do it, witchcraft i guess).
2-0 TIMBERS!!!!

I'm kinda gutted that England are out, people have been saying that Italy deserved to go through despite their attempts on goal been just as wasteful, I've been biased towards England since Italia 90. Did not realise there was a Welsh Football team until a year later!
Wales will never qualify for a major finals ever, The 2003 is the closest we will ever get but then Mark Hughes got bored(!), John Toss Hack decided to rip the morale of the team to shreds, and things seeemed to be on the up, it all started to get rosy when Gary Speed took over...
...I doubt Coleman is going to get everyone on his side.

Re: Sport!
Holy hell, what a first half! Funny thing, I've publicly decried both Boyd and Horst for their lack of motivation shown in games they play. Now? Gotta hand it to them. Horst almost had two right now.
Otherwise, look to see Zizzo, Mwanga, and Alexander subbed in throughout the game (unless there's an injury, that is).

I'd like to say that I have no issues with England or it's people, but I'm not an England fan. Just to clear things up

For those of you who don't think that America doesn't have rivalries or a football following, watch this:
It sure as hell entertained Adrian and I.

Re: Sport!
It's hard for me to watch as I don't have ESPN. But I've always had a slight interest in the MLS.
A lot of people here are very sceptical about the MLS, and aren't very interested in watching it. It's way better supported than the SPL though.
Does the MLS have any cross-city derby type rivalries? Or is it all individual city franchises?

Re: Sport!
I must say, I'm extremely impressed by how big Football is over there!
Good to see such great support! People here have stopped attending games, SPL games are usually quite empty. It's a great shame.
