Tuning Help?! Empty Tuning Help?!

Post by mattmeir Tue 20 Mar 2012 - 21:56

OK it really is dumbass time. Trying to work out why I'm so far off the pace - 5 secs/lap at Motegi East.
And then it dawned on me.

Am I running a turbo..?? How can I check??
I've never tuned the cars on Forza, so not sure how to make sure? Any help is appreciated!

And yes, I realise this may mean a DSQ from the Motegi East round, but seeing as I finished last in both races I don't think it'll hurt my Championship standing too much! Mad

Haha thanks Ian.
A lack of turbo will equate to approx 5 seconds I'm guessing..? Either that, or I'm REALLY s**** haha

Reminder, you can have your car PLOW tuned for a mere position of a PLOW logo on your car.
The PLOW logo entitles you to tuning all thru the series as long as you are running it.

We also do paints of many descriptions.

Notice is via xboxlive needed for both.

Ok thanks for the tune Ian. I noticed the diff almost immediately, however I noticed you had tuned to a diff spec than mine. So, am I right in guessing, as long as the PI and other regs are adhered too. I can tune however I want? I spent a couple of hours last night "playing"with diff parts etc within regs, and noticed a good sec off my time Smile. If this is the case I may be able to keep within reach off the pack lol. Fingers crossed.

Let me know please and thank you.

Thanks for the heads up about forza Droid too, that is a little beaut. IMO Smile

Easy to use and understand just watch videos in OP.

Yes you can add any parts to a car so long they are allowed in the rules and fit the specified criteria

Cheers Duncan, I got the calc yesterday too , just not had chance to use it. One good thing I going out about it I think you can use google docs if you don't have excel. I hope anyway lol. I did find that the forza Droid app worked well with the suss setting. The civic handled a lit better with the tweak, thank God Smile will have a play later and post a time in the time forum. Thanks again.

Post by Dav of Krypton Wed 11 Apr 2012 - 8:58

Does anyone know, when tuning with the calc will it apply the same with the wheel add controller. I am finding that with the wheel, when gearing down I am getting a load of devel grip causing oversteer and throwing me around the track like nobodies business. I know it is just a matter off adjusting diff but was just annoying me. Also what are the advance settings for in the wheel options? Cheers

David, well known difference between the wheel and controller, the level of string grip is massively improved. This accounts for your oversteer, as for the down change, be less aggressive or wait for the revs to get into a lower range before changing down, banging it through the gears helping to slow the car down is not good, wheel our not.
Send me that car, paint and tune will ya.
