Team Allianz - News and Updates

Team Allianz was first formed a couple of months ago, to race in the BGT. The team had many problems and had to miss out many rounds of the BGT. Now, the Florida based team is back to compete. They are in the series mostly for fun, aswell as a couple of good races. The main sponser Allianz, is having some trouble financially, with the economy in jeopardy. With that said, the team wont be able to make to many changes this season, and the team owner and driver, Javier Gomez, has to be extremely carefull with the car. The team has enough equipment and money for the rest of the season, but Javier was talking of a main sponser change. This won't happen soon, but its a possibility. Team Allianz is happy to race in the BGT.

In last weekends race, Team Allianz did not get to race in Round 4, Motegi. Javier qualified in the back of the field, with him not having been in the car for a long time and no tune. Then when the qualifying was complete, the engine overheated in the pit garage. The team was frustrated, and Javier was quoted saying, " I was anticipating my first race of the season, but then I get the news that the engine broke down. I felt devastated and furious at the same time." Javier cooled off and thought about next round. The BGT gang will be traveling to Japan, for Round 5 Suzuka. They will have better hopes there.........
