There's more in it, just need to find the right downforce balance.

Not happy, my car can't got from being relatively competitive to being 3 seconds off the pace in one week. I've got maximum down force on it but with such skinny tyres I just can't keep up with anyone

I'm having identical problems, skinny tyres. May need a rethink on the PI rules to allow for wider tyres on the GT3 cars.

Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times

I know and no worries, im not the type to throw a rattle out. Just thought it was worth a mention. Might be worth gifting my setup to someone like "i eat civics" to see what times he could of got around Road America and also compare times between his car and mine at Infinion.

Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
Yeah, I'm not making a big deal out of it yet. You know my feelings on the current cars Duncan as we discussed tonight, but we won't be making any decisions until after this series is done.
What I really hope to see is some of the guys who are currently in GT2 cars and who are going very fast switch to the GT3 cars at the mid season point so we can get some useful data from them.

Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
speaking of the switch, is there any specific way we will be switching cars at the mid point?

Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
Duncan, I would make the claim that we are very similar in terms of race pace and time, and seems a little pointless being in the same car on the same tracks.
Therefore I propose that I jump out of the M3. Which car should I go into though. Richy thinks the Z4 needs a little more, so shall I do that one?

Awesome question. I would have preferred that all switchovers be done so that all drivers are in a different GT groups too. So if your in GT2, you'd have to be in GT1 or GT3, although the GT2 field seems to still outweigh the GT1 and 3's combined.
What I may do is two lists of cars split evenly, and say if your in List A, then you must choose a car in list B. Something Like that...

Hey dude, defo if you want to run the Z4 thats cool
Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
It would be good to get someone else in the Z4, as I'm not the best person to use as a guinea pig for it as my performance does tend to go up and down a bit. I also hate the track so that could have something to do with my lack of pace around here.

That sounds like a sweet idea. will it still be first come, first serve? or will the current points standings at the time be a factor?

Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
Well, I worked on the car all morning and finally had a break through.
1:34.116 and I am confident I can just scrape into the 33s. The car still doesn't have the grip to run the 33s consistently like the GT2 cars can, but at least it's a step closer.
I think I have also sorted out my braking issue that was hampering me all weekend.

Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
I'll do the Z4 then, and dependant on data, for the second half I'll choose a car with least data, whatever it is
Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
I just did a 20min test with the M3. Bit of work is still needed on the gearing but, 1:33.635 with consistent 1:33.7-8s every lap even whilst making little mistakes. It's just got so much more grip going into and getting out of corners compared to my Z4
Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
Nah, you should jump into the Evora.

Simon we could as you said split the cars up to which cars need to be tested like you suggested earlier would work well.
Re: TORA GT Mini-Series Times
high 1:35's in the C6.R.
I do nor want to do this, but, could someone send me a tune for this car. I am at my wits end trying to tune this damn thing. No matter what I do it seems to hadle like a wet fish.

Just did a 1.33.884 in first 7 laps of testing
