Weekly Hotlap Challenge

Hey all, I may be new around here, but I've been Forzaing a few years now, ever since FM2 was spanking new, and have been hosting a long running weekly Hotlap Challenge competition at GameFaqs for a few years. I try my best to vary it from week to week, sometimes it's tuned and upgraded, others its stock and default, do tie ins to real world racing when appropriate, and most of all won't hit the same track twice until all venues have been used once.

Anyway, the reason for this thread is to invite you guys over to compete against us HLC regs, and over there I am trying to recruit some of them to join me here in an attempt to form an actual team here. All you need to do to enter is create a GameFaqs account and post your best lap in the Challenge thread...

"Swaps" are usually found in the far right box of the upgrade menu, as in "drivetrain swap", "engine swap" and "aspiration swap". This is how most of GameFAQS' Forza forums have always referred to those particular upgrades, sorry if it is a site-specific term.

Ah right! Cheers. Now I've seen the explanation I feel a bit silly. :S

BTW, while this week's Challenge is fairly tame (stock 599XX @ La Sarthe) sometimes things are a bit more extreme... such as '60s Muscle Cars on stock tires and suspension with no limit on engine upgrades @ Indy's oval... drifting a 64 Thunderbolt at 185 MPH was a blast.

Yeah, this weeks looks great! I love Ferraris and really love how they handle on the game! When I get back on the Xbox, I'll give it a blast and post my best!

Could you use a little comic relief from hardcore racing action? Then you need to check out this week's Challenge:

Johnnyboy got third in last week's Challenge... I think it would be great to see how other TORA racers stack up in these.

This week's Challenge: D Class Leaderboard Buster @ Hockenheim National, open to any D Class car that is not currently atop the Leaderboards on any track in D Class.

This is a great chance to learn this track for upcoming TCC/NATCC races, as well as a good time to try new tunes and cars, and a great excuse to try out some recent DLC cars and vans .

I still have yet to see any more TORA racers show up, but I'd like to say that this week's is a Tribute To Carroll Shelby. 550 PI Shelby Open at Road Atlanta Club. A good chance to run all the Shelbys in your garage, and maybe build a new one.

This week's HLC is Acura ARX-02a, tuned but no upgrades... should be a good chance for those competing in the TORA Dan Wheldon 500 to dominate the leaderboards.
