Welcome to the TORA Endurance Championship, a four rounds series of full length endurance races designed to test both you and your team to the limits. For three years now we have run full length races of both the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year will be no different, but we will also be visiting Silverstone and the Nurburgring along the way.

TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans - Rules and Regulations 7195574408_b3b5051042_n

The second event of the year is the TORA 24 Hours of Le Mans which takes place on the weekend of the 30th of June and 1st of July.

The race will start at 2pm BST on Saturday the 30th and end at 2pm Sunday the 1st.

Teams can consist of up to 4 drivers. Ideally you want the full four to make the 24 hours less challenging on yourselves and your consoles. Teams must drive in the same car throughout the event. If any team members switch into different cars throughout the race then their session will not be counted in the team's overall distance. Drivers may enter as individuals who feel that they are up for the full 24 hour experience or just want to take part an a couple of the stints throughout the day.

The race will be split up into twelve stints that will last two hours. Each stint will be competed by one driver from each team, so you will not be racing on track with your team mates during the event. Driver changes take place when the stint is over at the 2 Hour mark, where we will then go back into the lobby and the drivers and lobby hosts will change over. At this point the host will enter the distances covered by the drivers into the database which will be combined for the final results at the end of the race. The race will be scored on "distance driven" where bigger is better. To accomodate for the stint changes a 10 minute turnaround will be applied for 'a pit stop with driver change simulation' so in reality the stints only last 1 Hour 50 Minutes. The final stint will be a 2 hour race to the flag, just like we do in the ISCC. The timer however will be extended by 10 minutes so we can record the distances traveled, so basically the final stint is 2 hours instead of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Unlike previous events we will not be following any real life safety cars or incidents. Saftey cars will not factor into the race as the entire event is based upon your endurance. If there is a crash you will have to recover and continue to the end of your stint and deal with any damage that you pick up. This should be incentive enough to stay out of the wall. Damage will be set to Limited to replicate fuel and tyre wear.

Qualification for this event will be held throughout the week leading up to the weekend. Each qualification round will last 45 minutes and drivers will not be allowed to use the sessions as a practice. The team will qualify as a whole, so out of the 4 possible times that could be set by the entire team then the best time will be taken. For example, if Driver 3 sets a better time then Driver 1 then Driver 3's time will be taken as the best time. Each driver may only compete in one qualifying session.

Settings
- Collisions during all races will be on. Damage will be set to limited. TCS, Driving Line and Normal/Simulation Steering are the only allowed driving aids that may be used. ABS, STM, Auto-brake and Auto-gears are prohibited. Manual gears must be used but it is up to the competitor if they wish to use the clutch or not.

Livery Requirements

- Its not offensive
- It doesn't include any direct tobacco sponsorship
- It has sponsors

There are no mandatory Numberboxes, so you are free to run replica ones or your own, or even the current ISCC ones.

Car Numbers

Each competitor in the team must be registered with TORA and have a TORA Race Number. This is for admin purposes only. The number that is displayed on the car during the 24 Hour event does not have to be one of the drivers numbers, as you may use a replica paint for the race and you may also use any of the drivers numbers.

****Update****

The Aston Martin AMR-One will run with a 5% Power Handicap. The car has been tested independently and by people who have no influence in the LMP1 category. It has been found to be running consistently about 2 seconds a lap quicker than the cars. The 5% handicap reduces this gap and brings it more in line with the rest of the field.

Qualifying starts next week so please be aware of this and you may change car if required.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
